+ Very nice and charming appart.
+ Very well located to visit downtown Victoria by walking
- Really noisy neighbourhood at night (incl. 3 surrounding bars)
We had a one-month stay in Victoria so we rented a two-bedroom apartment which was suitable for four adults. The apartment is situated right downtown which allowed us to park our car and walk to the shops, cafes, and see some of the sights near the inner harbour. The apartment comes with a free parking stall which is in a secure underground parking lot under the building. The building itself has 'double security' which is a good idea when you are living downtown.
Paul met us upon arrival and gave us our keys along with all the necessary instructions regarding the building. The apartment has a large master bedroom and the second bedroom is a decent size. There are two bathrooms and a large sized living area. The kitchen is fairly well-stocked for two persons but could use some extra dishes and bowls when it is occupied by four adults. We did mention this to Paul and he agreed with us and said he would pass this on to the owner.
Since the apartment has a downtown location not surprisingly there is a night club down the street. Friday and Saturday nights tend to be lively so light sleepers may have a problem; earplugs recommended. The only downside of the apartment is that during our stay there we had periodic bouts of cigarette smoke in the living room. Even with the windows shut some smoke managed to permeate into the living room. We never did figure out the source of the cigarette smoke. Other than that we had a lovely stay in Victoria and would recommend this apartment.
