In the middle of the ancient town, few meters away from the seashore, you can find the historical “Palazzo Oddo” (Oddo’s mansion), one of the buildings which since 1623 were growing up to a whole block which today is representing the important Cultural Center of Albenga.
The Center is hosting the Museum, in which you can find the famous “Piatto Blu” (Blue Dish), a second century A. D. Egyptian archeological witness of the importance of Albenga for the commercial exchanges during the Roman Empire.
Are also part of the same Center the Public Library, the Auditorium, the Musikalische Wunderkammer with his historical musical instruments and moreover several rooms dedicated to the different exhibitions.

Walking along the streets of the old village you would also find a number of typical restaurants and every sort of shops.
