I am really happy I stayed at Greg and Davids place for my two weeks in PEI! They met me at the place when I arrived and took me grocery shopping and helped make sure I was settled in including showing me where the vet school was that I would have to get to and suggesting other cool things to do. They were also nice enough to give me access to a vehicle and bike so I could better explore PEI as well. And of course the basement suite is also really comfortable and nicely renovated. Would highly recommend!
My husband and I recently spent two days at Greg and David's Charlottetown apartment. This apartment is in a lovely neighbourhood and has everything you need to spend a few days or longer. The layout also would make it perfect for two couples. Greg and David were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. They were always accessible if we needed anything. It was a pleasure to meet them.
Gorgeous apartment in a quiet street, great to have separate bathrooms. Greg was lovely and had great tips for places to eat and see in Charlottetown. Would definitely recommend for a stay on PEI.
Dave and Greg met us at the house and welcomed us into their neat and attractive two-bedroom basement apartment. The place is well decorated with a kitchen equipped with dishes, pots and flatware for preparing meals (but we ate at bustling downtown restaurants). It would have been nice to have coffee provided for a morning wake-up, but we picked some up the night before. It's a drive or bike ride from the quiet neighborhood to downtown Charlottetown. The hosts don't live in the house, but the upstairs tenants were respectful. The thermostat is in their apartment, so we weren't able to adjust the temperature of our unit, but Greg came and took down some storm glass so we could open a couple of the high windows to let in fresh air. After six days of bicycling around PEI, we were grateful to have access to the new washer and dryer, and the bathroom towels were nice and thick (but bring your own soap and toiletries). Greg and Dave were on call to answer questions and help us out, which we appreciated, and we enjoyed a few days of relaxation off bikes.
About the Host, Greg & David
We spent over 4 years renovating this older bungalow and are very proud to share our home with visitors from around the world.
Greg is a Community Health Nurse who travels across the country to work with Aboriginal people in Northern Manitoba. He gets to experience a part of Canada that very few would ever experience and he loves to talk about it. David works in logistics with a large food production company. both like like to build, renovate and repurpose. Lots of the things in both of our houses are repurposed!!
We are both outgoing, personable guys who are proud to give you a wonderful, nicely appointed and affordable stay while on PEI. We're happy to answer any questions about PEI or our home.
Good food, home cooking, fantastic prices.
Note that the Google map has the restaurant half way down Ellis road. It is actually at Brackley Point Road
Similar fare as Maid Marian's but a larger menu. Great food and good prices.
Lots of stores: Winners, Sports, Clothing, etc
The map has not been updated. Sobeys is now across University Avenue past the Charlottetown Mall across from the Superstore
This is the bigger store at Belevedere and University Avenue
Not a recommendation...but a staple for many
There is another Wendy's on University Avenue by the Charlottetown Mall
Wonderful professional theatre...where you'll find Anne of Green Gables and other shows.
Weekdays at noon the Young Company performs in the outdoor amphitheatre. It's free and about an hour.
