The Space

Smartly planned apartment at the area Kungsklippan which located on the east side of Kungsholmen in Stockholm city. Recently renovated with a living room, small kitchen, bathroom and a sleeping compartment with a Tempur mattress. Large and fresh laundry facilities are included and free to use. An extra mattress exists for a additional sleeping space on the floor.

The apartment is located on the top ninth floor which gives incredible views of Långholmen, Västerbron and Vasastaden from a big private furnished terrace.

The area is calm and safe despite its central location. It is just a few minutes walking distance from the City Hall, Central train station and close to the water. The area is very popular and has many nice bars, restaurants and cafées.

The closest metrostation Rådhusets on the blue line is at rock throwing distance although the main station, T-Centralen, is also within walking distance.

The apartment has a stereo, HD cabel-TV and WIFI (all included in price).

Although located in the centre, the house is located on top of a hill in a quiet neighbourhood. The flat is also located on the ninth floor which means that there is very little noise from city traffic. The only noise comes mainly from neighbours using the elevators.

New, large and clean laundry facilities are free and available 24/7 in a separate building 10 meters from the house main entrance. Detergents are available and included in the flat.

You can combine your stay also by booking a big apartment an hour from Stockholm (by train): https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/901197

Getting there from Arlanda airport:

- Bus goes to Stockholm Central Station from every Terminal. They leave quite often and are the most cheapest
alternative (around 100kr single fare). There exists two companies which are about the same price but they have differences in number of departures, but any one will do (check (website hidden)). Tickets are bought on specific vending machines near the bus stop. You
jump of at the end station (Central station/bus terminal) and from there it is 10 minutes walk to my apartment.

- Train, the quickest way (20min) although not cheap (see
(website hidden)). During some seasons you can travel two for the price of one which can creates more value for the money. I believe single is normally around 250kr. It also arrives at Central station.

- Taxi, comfortable and reasonably quick. The taxi business is quite a hassle at Arlanda (and Stockholm) with some problems regarding unserious taxi companies. There are a number of cabs waiting at the terminals and there is some kind of queue system where you can pick which cab you want. There has been many issues with drivers cheating
tourists and demanding ridiculous prices when arriving at destination - ALWAYS go for fixed price (around 400kr/trip). I always chose Taxi Stockholm as they have a good reputation - the problem is that there are a lot companies using logotypes and car design similar to this company which for an untrained eye makes it hard to distinguish the "real" Taxi Stockholm. Check (website hidden) for more
info.

It would be good if you have a print out of the (website hidden) map in case you need to give or ask direction. Kungsklippan at Kungsholmen is well known and a taxi driver will probably find it sleeping, but every driver can have their first day in their job :)

Parking:

It is possible to park your car on the street in Stockholm city, but it is rather expensive (~100kr per day). It is usually free to park during weekends though. Parking spaces can be rather hard to find near the apartment at some hours (evenings/nights), but with some luck it is possible to park right outside the house main entrance. During summer the citizens tend to leave the city for summer vacation which makes it easier to find a parking spot and also making the driving in the city center less hectic.

Getting around:

For the tourist I would recommend the Stockholm card ((website hidden)) which will provide you free public transport and some free sightseeing entry fees.

If wanting to travel by public transportation only within Stockholm city, check prices and options at (website hidden) as they tend to change quite often.

  • Fantastic top floor apartment with brilliant view from balcony. Really cosy and well designed. Myself and my girlfriend really enjoyed staying here and the location could not be any better. Never met Jani in person but getting to the apartment was easy and arragements were easy. Jani seems like a decent bloke and maybe put a name to the face in the future! I really liked the fact Jani gave a list of really cool places - this helped us plan the few days I had there. This was my first time in Sweden and it was a sucessful one! Thanks again! :)

  • There was no problem finding the apartment and getting in. Jani's directions were meticulous and accurate. The location is excellent - you can walk to the City Hall in about 10 minutes, and the old town is very close to that. It is a tiny apartment, for sure, but the basics are quite adequate, and there are two supermarkets (ICA and the Co-op) are in walking distance. Even the System Bolaget is near, the state-run liquor monopoly. Best of all is that the T-Bahnen, the metro, is almost next door, with a lift down, which you should use to get around even if not using the metro. Get an Access card for your stay, allowing use of all public transport. You can get one at any Pressburo.

  • It was the first time for us chosing an accomodation via airbnb and we were not really sure what to expect. After having stayed at Jani´s place we will definitely consider booking via airbnb again.
Jani´s place is a nice and cosy apparment in central Stockholm with an amazing view from the roof terrace - just perfect for staying a few days in Stockholm. If we come back to Stockholm we would definitely chose Jani´s appartment again.

  • Jani's flat is pleasant and well situated. It allows to visit Stokholm easily on foot or by subway (just next the corner).
The flat itself was convenient. The terrasse on the balcony was really nice.
    Good experience !

  • Jani's apt. is amazing!
We've really liked the decoration, the way things are organized! And the balcony....it's a plus! Amazing sunsets!
The apt was clean, organized, and he provided everything we needed for a nice stay!
Also, the location is perfect! Real close to Gamla Stan, to the metro, and everything else!
The stair to get to apt. street were really a challenge, but, if you prefer, you can walk a bit more on the same street and get a lift though the metro!
We would definitely recommend this apt!

  • Jani's apartment is nice and a good basis for visiting the sights of Stockholm. It should have been a bit more clean, but in all other aspects very good, and Jani answered all questions fast and friendly. Very central but not noisy. Note that you may not take the stairs from Kungskolmsgatan up to Kungsklippan with heavy luggage - better turn left and walk through Kaplansbacken, Bergsgatan and Kungshomlskyrkoplan or use the subway (T-Bana T10 or T11) form central station (the way down to the blue lines in central station is also a bit long, but way up is easy via one elevator to service counter area, and then another elevator to Kungsklippan).

  • Jani was very responsive and replied to all of my concerns in a timely manner. The place was worth every bit of the cost. Great views, central to nearby shops, restaurants, bars etc. Cool decor and a nice patio. I am pleased.

  • Fantastic place to stay. The apartment looks great and is so well designed! Location could not be better, Jani made everything smooth and even wrote a list of over 15 things to do in the city. The Thai restaurant 'kohphangan' was fantastic!
We would stay again at the drop of a hat!
