I highly recommend staying at Dar Eden! The owner, Martine, was very quick to respond to messages and answer questions. She arranged transportation from the airport for us and when we arrived into the main square we were greeted by Philippe, the riad manager. Most of our group spoke a little bit of French, so we managed to understand him for the most part. Non-French speakers should still be able to communicate with him, he's very nice and friendly. Nevertheless, he led us through the medina to the riad and made sure we settled in well. From the main square, Jemaa el-Fnaa, the riad is only a 8-minute walk from there. We used Hôtel Restaurant Café de France in the square as a reference point for taxis to drop us off at and then walked to the riad from there. Super easy! The riad itself was great - looks just like it does in the pictures! The beds were comfortable, the spaces were clean and it was pretty quiet (with the exception of the morning prayer calls). We also felt safe and the riad is very secure. I wouldn't recommend solo female travelers to walk around the medina at night. Fair warning that the hot water only lasts for 2 or 3 showers in a row, but that is standard of the riads in the medina. The breakfast that was provided was very delicious - I loved all the fresh-squeezed orange juice in Marrakesh! Checking out of the medina was a smooth process too. Philippe made sure to meet us at the riad before we left.

Martine and Philippe were very responsive, and the listing was just as pictured. It was a great home and location to stay in during our time in Marrakech.

Thanks for a great location and beautiful house. Our only issue was the slow wifi and a bit cold in the living area. The bedroom was warm and the heaters appreciated. Having said that, we would be happy to stay again, if the opportunity is available.

We loved staying at Martine's place. From the start communication was quick clear and very straightforward. We were made very welcome from the moment we were picked up promptly from the airport and taken to the beautiful house. It was clean, beautifully, decorated and very easy to find. Philippe was very kind and welcoming and knew the city very well. We slept like logs and woke to a gorgeous breakfast. The riad is perfectly located to explore all the souks and was very easy to walk to the main square to pick up a taxi. We loved staying here and the kids loved exploring all the rooms and chatting to the neighbours across the roof terrace. We would definitely re book on a return trip to Marrakech! Thank you

If you're visiting Marrakech, look no further! Dar Eden is the most special Airbnb experience we have enjoyed to date! My wife and I spent 6 nights here with our 15month old son and instantly felt right at home. Perfect for couples, families or the lone traveller who wants to live it up in Marrakech, the riad offers three bedrooms over three levels with two bathrooms and four toilets. It has a lot of space for bigger groups including a spacious terrace. It is situated in a fantastic location, only 10mins walk to the hustle and bustle of Jemaa El-Fna and is also within easy walking distance to other Marrakech highlights such as the various souks, Ben Youssef Medersa, Musee de la Photographie, Bahia Palace, and Dar Si Said. Check-in and checkout is so smooth; Martine is prompt and efficient in communicating with guests, while the energetic and always-smiling Philippe met us at the edge of the square and pointed out his recommendations for places to eat and drink as we walked back to the riad. One of his recommendations was Taj'in Darna which has a great terrace with very tasty food (we already miss their chicken pastille!) and friendly staff. Philippe also met us on our last day to ensure that we met up with our driver without any hassles. The wonderful Fatima provides a tasty breakfast each morning with the best fresh orange juice we have ever tasted. Hot tip for those who book here: try the incredible 6-flavoured smoothie at the little shop on the corner of Derb Dabachi and Derb El Hejra a few minutes away from Dar Eden on the way to Jemaa El Fna. Best to get your 5 dirham coin out before you arrive in the afternoon as it's incredibly popular with the locals! We enjoyed one each morning before the crowds arrived :)

We had a fantastic experience. Martine was very helpful and professional from the beginning of the process. She also gave us an excellent recommendation for a restaurant for new year's eve. Her local manager, Philippe, was a lovely and efficient man and he helped us on many things, from booking restaurants and taxis, to urgently changing the gas tank for the radiator (yes, in the winter evenings/nights could be a bit chilly in Marrakesh!). And Fatima was also super lovely and prepared us good breakfast every morning (she is a pastry chef!). Basically they took excellent care of us! Marrakesh was very lively and interesting, the souks impressive. The Museums very interesting (we loved the Museum of photography, with a whole area dedicated to the history and life of the Berbers). The trips to the seaside (Essaouira) and to the Atlas mountains (where we hiked to some nice waterfalls) were particularly nice. In summary we strongly recommend both a trip to Morocco and a stay at Martine's!
