  • We had a very enjoyable stay. Philippe both met us at the airport and escorted us back which made the journey easy and stress free, he was able to give us some great advice and tips for eating out / exploring the Medina etc.. As we arrived quite late, we arranged for a supper at Dar Eden, which was delicious and we added the wine via duty free from the UK. Fatima prepared a lovely breakfast each morning and another evening meal later on in our stay. Philippe and Fatima only spoke French but with humour, sign-language and some rusty "school French" we were able to converse happily. The Riad was charming and comfortable, and the ISIS spa around the corner provided great massages. Our best advice... walk on the right with the flow of traffic to avoid tangles with scooters and donkeys, rebuff offers for directions and enthusiatic stall holders with a cheery "non merci", don't believe everything people tell you about attractions being closed or only open that particular day (it's a ploy to divert you to their stall) and enjoy getting lost in the souks!

  • My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Martine's beautiful, comforatble and very tastefully decorated house. It is located right between the tourist area and the normal part of the medina, in a nice neighborhood that has their own mosque, hamam and bakery. After having the tasty breakfast, we absolutely enjoyed exploring the city, went back for an afternoon nap on the sunny terrace, and then hung out at the Jama El'Fna in the evenings. Everything is easily reacheable by walking distance.

A big thank-you to Philippe and Fatima, who really cared for us and were super helpful. It really felt like staying with friends!

  • We had an absolutely perfect stay at Martine's apartment. Words cannot adequately convey just how good the whole experience was. The central location is easy walking distance to the energy and chaos of the Jemaa El Fna, but the great thing is that the apartment itself is surprisingly quiet and relaxing once inside. The three levels are beautifully decorated, and the rooms have great beds where we slept fantastically.

Breakfast was made fresh and served to us every morning by the wonderful Fatima and all food served was filling and very tasty. A great way to start each day.

I have to leave a whole paragraph to the brilliant Phillipe, whom met us upon our delayed arrival at the airport, gave us all the advice we needed and was there on hand to help us every day. He also organised one of the best tours we've ever been on - anywhere. The holiday itself would only have been half as good had it not been for Phillipe's expert local help.

Finally, Martine has been outstanding from the very beginning in ensuring all aspects of our holiday were perfect. Our plane had a technical error en route and we were in contact with Martine who always was very prompt with her help and very very kind.

As a young couple that has done a lot of travelling, we cannot recommend this place enough to spend your time in Marrakech, Everything really was perfect. If you are a group of friends or family, we could also not recommend this place enough as well as it really does cater for all. Forget the Riads and hotels, this is the place to go!!!

  • Fantastic experience in Marrakech! The Riad was exactly what we needed. We travelled with 4 adults and 3 children (1, 3 and 4 years old). Philippe arranged to pick us up at the airport and escorted us to the Riad. This was incredibly helpful as I don't think we would have found it otherwise!! The Riad itself, while tucked away gave us a perfect amount of privacy, a pack and play crib for our daughter and a stroller if we wanted to use it. We ate all meals at the Riad. Fatima's food was fantastic. Authentic, cheap and super easy. We just paid her cash everyday and she created these great meals which we ate in the open center dining room. I would highly recommend this Riad and more importantly the people running it all. I speak only a little French, and Philippe no English, but we managed to figure it out! Bring a French dictionary or phrase book if you don't speak any.

We would also like to note that we never felt unsafe here or anywhere in Marrakech. A lot of people think it isn't for kids, but we believe exposing ours to the greater world is one of the best things we can give them for their upbringing. The Moroccan people in the center of town are there to make a living. They will try and get you to buy things and be a little pushy, but once told a firm no we had no problem at all. The people seemed thrilled for us to have our kids there and were always smiling and laughing with them. Everyone needs to remember this is a different culture!

So yes, I highly recommend this property. Add in the food and you can have an incredibly good vacation on a budget.

  • We were 3 women staying in Marrakesh for the first time and we had the place to ourselves. We were picked up from the airport by Philippe who took us the the Rhiad which I would highly recommend as it is in the heart if the medina and would have been hard to find by ourselves. Philippe was lovely and was as helpful as possible given we had no French and he had no English! The Rhiad itself was beautiful and a lovely respite from the hustle and bustle of the markets. Fatima was lovely and helpful. My only small complaint in a otherwise wonderful stay is that we asked Philippe to organise a taxi to the bus station when we left thinking we would get a reasonable price rather than haggling ourselves and the taxi driver ripped us off big time when we arrived at the bus station. For a taxi to the bus station or new town you should not pay more than 20-30 dirham. Most drivers will try to charge you 50 but ours demanded 100 and became angry when we tried to negotiate. We can highly recommend the Isis Hamman around the corner ( left out front door, first left again at little shop, left again, then look for Isis signs on right about 100 yards up). The staff were very professional and gave a great massage and mud scrub).

  • We really enjoyed our stay at this riad. It's right in the medina so you are in the middle of all the action. The riad is beautiful and Fatima was really lovely. Definitely recommend this place!

  • Although we did not see/meet Martine, she left us in the very capable hands of her friends/team - Phillipe, Brigitte and Fatima. Between the three of them we were transferred from the airport, given tips for our time in Morocco and had a varied offering of continental breakfasts every morning at a time of our choosing. I would recommend staying at this classic calming oasis in and amongst all the action of the Souk. We would definitely revisit!

  • Staying in the Riad was a very nice experience. Everything worked well and we were picked up from the airport by Philippe who explained us everything. The breakfast was very good and Fatima prepared everything for us. The Riad is very close to the center and close to the souks. I would definetely go back to Martines place and enjoyed the stay very much.
