This lovely 1 1/2 bedroom apartment is tucked between our historic home and my painting studio in the heart of Salem. Cello music can resonate through the walls while you prepare a meal in the kitchen or relax in your comfy living room!

The space

There are so many sweet details in this charming flat: a very nice little kitchen, a large living room, a newly remodeled bathroom and the bedroom has a Full Bed with an optional twin bed in an adjoining half room. This is ideal for small families and close friends. The quiet Englewood neighborhood is in the heart of the Willamette valley and you will see a small sampling of my paintings throughout the space.
The kitchen is supplied with dishes and pans, a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender and my favorite take out menu's and pizza deliveries.

Off street parking is available next to the studio. A private entrance accessed through a nicely landscaped yard.

Your hosts are a family of four; a retired builder, an acrylic painter and a high school student who plays a lovely cello and a six year old. We have a dog named Snickers and a cat named Winnie. We love meeting everyone who stays in the flat and happy to share area details and answer your questions. Once you are settled in we are available if needed as we carry on with our busy lives. Rest assured that we will respect your privacy.

We live in a lovely old neighborhood where people walk the dogs and stop to say hello. The Englewood neighborhood park is just steps away. The flat is minutes from downtown, the State Capital, Hallie Ford Museum of Art and Willamette University.

The bus line runs Monday through Friday and the bus stops 2 blocks away. A convenience store is a four block walk and a grocery is a mile. We are happy to offer transportation to a from the train station if our schedule allows.

The Willamette valley is gorgeous, with an abundance of trees, fruits, vegetables and many parks. Salem is 45 miles south of Portland and the lush Willamette Valley lays between the Pacific Ocean and the Cascade Mountains, hosting Silver Falls State Park.

This house is perfect! Rustic, quaint, and charming. Corrine is so friendly and came to check we got in okay the next morning. They have a dog named Lucy who is so sweet and likes to visit! There is coffee and small breakfast left for you when you begin your stay which is a nice touch. The beds are comfy and it was cozy during the chilly nights. Neighborhood is quiet and there is off street parking. I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a spot in Salem. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Our stay was perfect.

Wonderful location. The neighborhood has lots of character and is quiet. Close to downtown and very walkable. The apartment was very comfortable and stocked with tea, coffee and Corrine provided breakfast items as well. Parking is right in front of the house just off the street. We loved our stay and highly recommend Corrine's place.

This place was great for my husband and I and our two year old. Corrine has lots of extras waiting in case you forget something. The heating vents worked great, and the beds were comfortable. Would stay here again for sure.

This place is absolutely adorable. Corrine even had coffee, bagels, and eggs ready for us in the fridge to get a start on breakfast. It was a great place to stay.

Corrine was a wonderful host! She stopped by to say hello, left us breakfast grocerys in the refrigerator when we arrived. The house was quite and was home away from home. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved our stay here! Very cute and clean. Corrine was really sweet and had some stuff for breakfast for us in the refrigerator. It was perfect for our needs and we didn't run into any problems at all!

this cottage is a wonderful place to stay. It is spacious, comfortable, bright and cheerful. The neighborhood is full of trees and very quiet. getting around is very easy. Corrine and her family could not be more warm or friendly. It was really hard to leave and I would not hesitate to come back. This was the nicest Airbnb I have stayed at. do be aware that you have to walk up about four steps to get into the apartment and also there is one step inside the apartment between the living room area and the area with the bathroom and bedrooms. This was no issue for me or my husband but it could be for some.

We moved into this Historic home in 2005, living in the flat you see on Air bnb. The house had been divided into 3 apartments which we slowly restored (my husband Curt has never run out of work)! I am an artist with a studio space over the garage where I work in acrylic paint sy…
