I can't say enough wonderful things about our visit to DelMar Eco Lodge. It wasn't fancy, but we had everything we needed in our apartment. Plus the gorgeous property with a clean, warm swimming pool was enjoyed by my whole family. Cedric provided some Bomba drumming lessons for my musician husband and son..... complete with a beautiful dancer! We took advantage of the kayaks, walked the practically private and huge beach where the river meets the ocean, and explored the town on their bikes. Listening to the chirping frogs at night while sitting on our front porch was my favorite.... plenty of nature all around. BEAUTIFUL! You won't be disappointed with this gem. And so close to the rainforest, snorkeling trips and much, much more. Wish we had stayed longer than 4 nights....

We had a lovely, adventurous stay with Socorro and her family. We swam in their pool twice a day, swing in their swings, looked for lizzards and just chilled in their lush garden. It was wonderful. Much as Gracias.

A lovely home in an off-the-beaten-track community with a hidden, practically private beach. Definitely helps to have a car. We did not, but we borrowed their bike, which was a huge help! Socorro and Cedric were helpful, welcoming and handled a toddler traveler well. We had a great time. This is not a cushy, fancy place, but has what you need to be comfortable.

We loved it! Better than even expected Beautiful in the surroundings and the people. We had a great afternoon kayaking and had the river all to ourselves. Met some local fishermen afterward and watched them tossing their nets into the ocean. Wished we would have stayed longer here! Able to meet and chat with Cedric briefly...could not have been kinder or more helpful

This place is a paradise. We enjoyed the swimming pool. It was the perfect place to relax. We walked and ride the bikes to the convenience store. Now I want my yard to look like Socorro's .

Cedric & Socorro User ProfileCedric & Socorro is a superhost.

Hi, I'm Cedric, you can call me Ced.
I'm a percussionist, drummer and music teacher. I'm an artisan whenever I get my hands on some driftwood or beads and string, and a college student. Talking about myself is not my best quality so hopefully we'll just meet in person. I love all types of arts, nature, animals and meeting new people. I really like learning about other cultures, their music and ways of life. I know my way around the island VERY well and I'll be more than happy to help in any way I can! Adventures and other fun outdoors activities are something I try to enjoy often so feel free to ask, "What's there to do around here?" and I'll draw you a map to the Rainforest and on the way you can stop at the zip lining park or go horse back riding at the beach.
If I'm out at college during your stay my mom, Socorro, will be here to welcome you and assist you in anyway she can. We live in the house next door.

Socorro is a hard working wife, mother of two young men, massage therapist , nature lover, animal lover. Sixteen years in the Hotel Industry allowed her to dream about a Lodging place where guests can enjoy more than a roof and good food, but also experience our warm, rich, fun culture.

We enjoy long walks on the beach, kayaking and lite cooking (rather eat out any day). We live on premises, so we are available to our guests 24/7. We enjoy bike riding and the movies. YES, we have our outside movie projector ready for any given evening. Popcorn too. We are located a block away from the beach, two blocks away from the Mameyes River (great Kayaking area) and 25 minutes away from one of the 3 Bio-luminescent bays of the Island (only five known in the world). We are 5 minutes away from a Ranch that offers Horseback riding, Go Karts and Fourtracks rentals. Oh yes; we always have coconut water!!!
