A semi-self contained room in a very neat and tidy home, in a quiet street, close to beautiful Sawtell and Boambee Beaches and major shops. Pristine beaches, walking trails, headlands and estuaries are within a 3 minute drive or 10 minute bike ride. Shopping centre, medical centres, library, hospital, university, TAFE and senior college campus are also closeby (walk to shops in under 5mins). Buses run regularly.
The large downstairs room is ideal for visitors/ students/workers wanting a private space for short-term stays (suits single or double). The room features: Queen Bed, bedside draws, lamps, bookshelves, robe, dining table and chairs, small heater, bar fridge, microwave oven and tea and coffee making facilities, lounge chair and TV (semi-self contained), and has the added benefit of having separate access.

Use of a mens, ladies, and childs road/mountain bike is included for those wishing to ride to beach, shops, uni, etc. An excellent bike path exists connecting Toormina and Coffs Harbour, passing by the university. It is a very flat and easy ride. Additionally, a new coastal walk has been opened recently by the National Parks and Wildlife service which stretches 60km, allowing visitors to view all of the Solitary Islands Marine Park, see: http://(email hidden)/coffs-coast-regional-park/solitary-islands-coastal-walk/walk
The host family (2 adults and up to 3 children depending what day it is) are very friendly and flexible people who make all guests feel very welcome. They have a cat (Tiger) and a dog (Marley), both are generally outside pets.
Why so cheap?? We are pretty new to airbnb and so want people to come and try our place! Also, just want to provide basic cheap accommodation for people who are traveling :-)
A bit more info about the region....Coffs Harbour/Toormina is approximately half way between Sydney and Brisbane, so an ideal place to stop. Buses, trains and planes arrive daily from major cities and other local areas. The town is largely tourist based, with the area being known for it's natural beauty, including World Heritage Areas (e.g. Dorrigo Rainforest Walk), and many tourist attractions including the Dolphin Marine Magic Shows at the Pet Porpoise Pool, see getways Coffs Harbour site for other things to do while here :) The average daily temperature for Coffs Harbour is 18° - 26° (winter to summer).
We had a great stay at Annette and Pete's- enjoyed the dog Marley and the cat tiger!! The bed was so comfortable and the room was great and private. We felt very welcome and would recommend this quiet spot to others.
Me and a friend were just passing by Coffs for two nights, and where kindly welcomed by Annette and her family in there spacious, clean, peaceful home. The thing that makes this particular accommodation special is the extra steps that Annette and Pete take to make their visitors fell welcomed; with the very well decorated room which includes a TV, fridge, fresh towels etc. kind of like what you would get in a hotel room without the prize :) ... Additionally Annette and Pete’s sense of humour made our stay even more admirable and relaxed, it was just like staying over a friend’s house that I've known for ages. Definitely recommend!!!
Clean room under the main house. Good size for 2 adults. We had our 2 year old daughter sleeping with us which was ok for 1 night.
The hosts were welcoming and communicative.
The house is away from the Coffs Harbour and is recommended for people with their own transport.
There is no bathroom in the room, i.e. you need to use the bathrooms upstairs in the house. However, it is not that inconvenient for short stays.
Overall - really good value for the money and we recommend it to travelers on a stop over at Coffs.
We had a Great Time at annettes and petes House! Both were very Friendly and helpful! Everything was clean, comfortable and very Nice :) also the Area was beautiful, close to lots of grocerie stores, beaches and coffs itselves! All in all its a Perfect Place to stay! Thank you so much to you Annette and Pete, we enjoyed it a lot and we'll Come back One day :) all the best for you!
Staying with Annette and Pete was great. The room was very spacious and had (among others) a tv, fridge, microwave and a huge bed. All these things were a welcome change after staying in a few hostels before. The supermarket is very close by, within walking distance. I didn't have a car so I had to depend on public transport, but Annette and Pete gave me a ride into Coffs Harbour, and I used the bike to get back. Annette and Pete are such nice people and were always in for a chat. I would stay here again if I had the chance and I would definitely recommend their place to anyone.
Annette & Pete were fantastic hosts, I came to Coffs Harbour for a new job and the house/room was perfect place to stay and get myself set up in the town. Was clean, comfortable and had all the facilities on hand one would need. Annette & Pete were really friendly, accommodating and extremely helpful. Their kids were also very well mannered, fun and friendly. I would not hesitate in recommending this place to anyone wanting to visit to this beautiful part of Australia.
Annette and Pete are friendly and easy going people who make you feel most welcome from the moment you meet them. The room is comfortable and quite large; it’s been nicely decorated and set up to be fairly self contained. It has a small dining table and chairs (which I found useful for studying), wardrobe, a small sofa, half size fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and good size TV. Free internet was also a bonus and worked pretty well. The room is accessed via their garage at the back of the house and you need to go outside and upstairs to access the kitchen, toilet and bathroom in the main part of the house. There is no heating but I’m sure they would provide one if it was needed as they are very caring about whether your needs are being met. I found the area to be quiet and safe, and a convenient location, within walking distance to a major shopping centre, a 10 minute drive to the beach at Sawtell and about 15 minutes into Coffs Harbour central. I had a car but there appeared to be a lot of buses around, so I’m sure public transport is quite good. I think the property is good value for what’s on offer but the real bonus are the hosts themselves who are genuinely lovely people.
We had a lovely stay with Annette, Pete, Emily, Marley & Tiger. They are the nicest people and made us feel very welcome, we instantly felt comfortable staying with them. They picked us up from the coach station, let us borrow their bikes gave us a tour of the local area and with their knowledge of the area helped us make the most of our trip there. We couldn't have asked for any more the set up they have is brilliant and I would highly recommend everyone to stop at Coffs Harbour and stay with them.
We had a lovely stay with Annette, Pete, Em's, tiger and of course the adorable Marley :) we felt very welcome in their home and had many giggles over our two nights with them. :)
We would definitely recommend people stay here, Annette even picked us up from bus stop and took us on a tour of Coffs which was great, they couldn't of been more helpful and welcoming :)
My surprise Birthday visit for my daughter to Coffs Harbour dolphin marina was fantastic & the 2 nights we spent at Annette's were like being at home. The space was clean, comfortable & had everything we needed...even the company of the pets, Marley & Tiger! :) Thanks for sharing your lovely home & for being so accommodating with the last minute booking.
