About this listing
Welcome to my little flat in Leeds. I spend a lot of time away at weekends so this might suit people planing short visits to the city or visiting their family at University. The flat is 30 seconds walk from the Carnegie Stadium and in the middle of local shops and amenities including a local grocer and butchers (if you're keen on cooking). There are a number of fabulous restaurants in the area or just a short trip to the main city centre.
The apartment is average sized, cute and cosy with a touch of retro kitsch. There is one bedroom with a comfy double bed. The living has a large comfy futon (as comfortable as the bed!) and so the flat can accommodate up to 4 people. There's no TV but alternative entertainment includes a guitar, ukulele, thumb piano and xylophone - if you're feeling musical. There are speakers and an Ipod doc. There is wifi however I can not leave my computer for guest use and advise bringing your laptop with you.
Kitchen includes fridge, freezer, oven, hob, kettle, microwave, cafetiere and utensils. I do live here so the cupboards will be stocked. Please help your self to tea, coffee etc.
The outside terrace is large and looks onto the gardens. Quite private thanks to a large tree directly in front. There is a BBQ - coals etc not provided.
I provide can provide all clean sheets and towels. Guest should bring their own toiletries.
As I mentioned, I do live here full time and advise all potential guest to contact me before booking to check availability. (email hidden)
Hope to see you soon!
Terrace for smoking - has outside light
I could be easy about pets staying. Best to contact me.
Free parking outside the flat - however it's not reserved for residents
Flat was perfect for our stay, clean & tidy throughout. Gemma was a great host. Thanks again
Gemma has a lovely flat in a fantastic location. Her friend met us with the key and he was absolutely lovely and helpful, giving us his number in case we needed anything. The flat itself was great however we found that some of the items in the flat, such as plates and cups etc were not particularly clean. We also found marks on the fitted bed sheets which were there when we arrived which was not very pleasant. We decided to wash the bedsheets in the washing machine and dried and replaced them. It seemed this had not been done before we arrived which was a little disappointing and was a dampener on an otherwise thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Hi Sammy, I am mortified to hear that you cleaned your own sheets. I was away that week and I guess a totally melt down in communication happened between me and the cleaning team. I wish you'd contact Craig who's there to help with anything, not just checkin. He would have come and sorted it for you or the very least told you where to find clean sheets. I'm really disappointed to hear this, please accept my sincere apologies.
Great little apartment in the middle of Headingley surrounded by cafes and shops. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay Gemma !
Lovely place to stay, really comfortable and well-equipped -- thank you very much Gemma for being so flexible and welcoming, much appreciated! It may not suit people sensitive to noise over a weekend as the flat is on a lively high street and one of the nights we stayed was a Friday night, when the street was a bit noisy -- but we enjoyed it! And very convenient for shops and a couple of good cafes!
The host canceled this reservation 7 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Great flat, as described. Gemma was flexible when we were running late for check in.
Thank you Gemma for a hassle free stay in Leeds.
About the Host, Gemma
I'm Gemma. I've been hosting and using Airbnb for my own travels for quite a while now and I love it.
For the next 3 months (Jan-March) I'm going to be out of Leeds, so my flat is available to anyone looking to stay for any length of time, however longer booking will be given priority, but feel free to contact me with any reservation queries.
I consider myself to be a friendly host and guests can make the most of all the amenities of a loved home, rather than a sparse hotel.
Between work and traveling I like to make music, watch movies, hang out with my friends enjoying good food and plenty of good wine.
