Welcome to my little flat in Leeds. I spend a lot of time away at weekends so this might suit people planing short visits to the city or visiting their family at University. The flat is 30 seconds walk from the Carnegie Stadium and in the middle of local shops and amenities including a local grocer and butchers (if you're keen on cooking). There are a number of fabulous restaurants in the area or just a short trip to the main city centre.
The apartment is average sized, cute and cosy with a touch of retro kitsch. There is one bedroom with a comfy double bed. The living has a large comfy futon (as comfortable as the bed!) and so the flat can accommodate up to 4 people. There's no TV but alternative entertainment includes a guitar, ukulele, thumb piano and xylophone - if you're feeling musical. There are speakers and an Ipod doc. There is wifi however I can not leave my computer for guest use and advise bringing your laptop with you.
Kitchen includes fridge, freezer, oven, hob, kettle, microwave, cafetiere and utensils. I do live here so the cupboards will be stocked. Please help your self to tea, coffee etc.
The outside terrace is large and looks onto the gardens. Quite private thanks to a large tree directly in front. There is a BBQ - coals etc not provided.
I provide can provide all clean sheets and towels. Guest should bring their own toiletries.
As I mentioned, I do live here full time and advise all potential guest to contact me before booking to check availability. (email hidden)
Hope to see you soon!
Terrace for smoking - has outside light
I could be easy about pets staying. Best to contact me.
Free parking outside the flat - however it's not reserved for residents
Lovely flat in the middle of Headlingley. Loads of bakeries, bars and cafes close by and easy to get in to the centre.
The flat is spacious and homely, and contact was easy. We had a good time!
Our stay at Casa Linda was simply perfect. The flat is super-pretty, and we felt totally welcome and at home. Mind you, ours was an unusually long stay - two weeks - and maybe a little crowded, with four people, including two teenagers... And I think this makes it even more amazing that we felt so comfortable and well. Also, apart from the flat itself, the street is brilliant, with very handy shops (and fantastic natural food store just downstairs). This was our family's first experience in Leeds (we are moving here for one year), and it was an excellent start. In short, we are really grateful to Gemma, and we recommend her flat heartily!
The description is accurate. The location was excellent in terms of local amenities and I imagine public transport.
The kitchen was well stocked. Everything was easy to operate. The key collection and drop off were smooth.
Excellent place to stay, our first AirBnB booking. Convenient, accessible and easy parking.
We had a lovely time at Gemma's nicely located apartment. The communication was swift and easy, Gemma was friendly and flexible. We would definitely stay there again.
Gemma's flat is absolutely perfect for a night away in Leeds. We were in Leeds for work and couldn't have asked for a more perfect and cosy home from home. We will definitely be back!
This is a well-equipped and homely flat on one of the main streets in Headingley. There are take-aways and restaurants literally on your doorstep. The terrace looks like a lovely space but this was a January visit so we did not venture out! It is very easy to hop a bus or taxi to the centre of Leeds. Parking is a little more problematic but we always found somewhere within a couple of minutes walk.
The arrangements were very simple and went smoothly. Both Gemma (who was out of town) and Craig (who met us and handed over the keys) were reliable and good communicators.
If you are a light sleeper, as I am, the student revelries on a Saturday night might interrupt your sleep but my husband and daughter slept through just fine.
Thanks for a trouble-free stay Gemma and Craig.
I'm Gemma. I've been hosting and using Airbnb for my own travels for quite a while now and I love it.
For the next 3 months (Jan-March) I'm going to be out of Leeds, so my flat is available to anyone looking to stay for any length of time, however longer booking will be given priority, but feel free to contact me with any reservation queries.
I consider myself to be a friendly host and guests can make the most of all the amenities of a loved home, rather than a sparse hotel.
Between work and traveling I like to make music, watch movies, hang out with my friends enjoying good food and plenty of good wine.
