An oversized sofa and chaise lounge dominates the living room space -- this sofa can very comfortably sleep 1 extra adult or 2 children.

A big, stocked fridge of drinks and an in-house Whirlpool washing machine allow you to make yourself at home over longer stays. Equipped with wifi + internet and a powerstrip accepting universal plug types.

Location, location, location. Hong Kong Island is all about convenience per square millimeter and this is about as convenient and centrally-located as a home can get. I am located next door to the Shelley mid-levels escalators, and surrounded by restaurants, bars, cafes, small groceries, boutique clothing stores and homes. Food and drink aside, many of Hong Kong Island's attractions (Hollywood Road antique shops, the Sheung Wan markets, Lugard Road to the Peak Lookout, the Botanical gardens) are an easy walk away.
The flat is on the fourth floor of a traditional Chinese walk-up building (no lift!) and steps away from the Shelley St. escalators. It is easy to hail taxis right on the street and there is also quick access to buses and minibuses. It is about a five minute walk to Central/LKF. The flat is within 10 minutes walking to the Central, Sheung Wan and Hong Kong MTR stations, and similarly, about 10 minutes downhill to the Central Airport Express Station in IFC.
First off, enjoy your stay and make yourself at home!
These are just a few guidelines to make sure that everyone continues to enjoy the same quality of stay in my home in the future.
Please, no smoking indoors.
Feel free to leave the air-conditioner on at all hours over the hotter months.
Conversely if you wish to open the windows, please check that both air-conditioners are turned off!
This little gem was located just right off the escalators and in a trendy area of Hong Kong. Cool bars and restaurants were literally a stone's throw away! Kaline was more than gracious in her prompt responses and thorough directions. She also had a bunch of nice recommendations that were very helpful and good! The bed was super comfortable and the shower was hot. Pack light as you will need to walk up a few flight of stairs... A nice little workout for our legs! Looking forward to our next visit!
Fantastic stay. The apartment was just as described in a terrific area. Kaline was great. Good communication and very helpful with local knowledge. She sent a list of places to eat and local sights with all the information on how to get there and even offered to help carry our bags up the stairs. The area is very vibrant and buzzing with activity and the apartment is so handy to the midlevel escalators that it is super easy to get around. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Kali and also thanks Jocelyn. xx
1. Location is great;
2. Easy communications with host
1. The apartment is very small (smaller than 300 sqft), difficult to turn around for 4 people (2 are kids) with some luggage
2. Beddings and sofa-bed have been used for many years. They're close to worn-out.
3. The lock on the door to bedroom is broken.
4. No elevator in the building. So it's difficult for elder people to take luggage up to 4th floor.
The apartment is very well located and easy to find. It is perfect for two people. Kaline's helper Jocelyn was very helpful. The water for the entire building was off for one day and Jocelyn did everything she could to help, including bringing us lots of bottled water up several flights of stairs! Kaline provided lots of useful recommendations of places to eat and drink in the area.
I stayed here for two days.
This is a good location, and very comfortable.
Located at the center in Hong Kong.
And the host was very friendly.
Thank you Kaline. First time to stay in apartment in Hong Kong and I must say it's much better than a hotel. It's like home away from home. I'm a health buff so I love the walking experience. So many places to eat around the area. Kitchen is well stocked and I love that drinks were on the house. Easy to finds the apt and instructions are spot on. Perfect! Thank u again. Hope to one day stay at your cozy chic apt.
My bf and I stayed at Kaline's place for about a week. It is a great space, very convenient to everything! The location is amazing. It's right next to the elevator which makes it extremely easy to get to central and the subway station. It's located in soho, so there are plenty of restaurants and bars to go to. The space is slightly small, but that's the standard of Hk. The rooms are extremely clean and she provided drinks in the fridge which was very nice. The apartment basically have everything you would need and it's very homey. Although I have not met Kaline, but she is very responsive and helpful with everything. The apartment is quite a climb (4/F) , but it's a good exercise. The only thing was that it does get quite noisy in the morning on Caine road and we got woken up a couple times. Otherwise it was a great stay! Thank you!

About the Host, Kaline
I'm a native Pacific girl and am happiest living seaside. I have been working in Asia for over three years based in Hong Kong before very recently relocating to Shanghai. I never fail to enjoy returning into this packed, frantic, sultry, colorful and hilly island that I am still proud to call home....and am now enjoying the chance to explore a whole new neighborhood of winding tree-lined roads and French bakeries and commuters on bicycles in the shadow of Shanghai's skyscrapers.
I love hosting friends and new visitors to Hong Kong and Shanghai. I was initially an accidental Airbnb-er and being an avid traveller myself, have been impressed time and time again with the spirit of this community...I would be thrilled to share anything I know about these cities or region with you!
My Italian favorite: homemade burrata to die for, lamb meatballs, and generally wonderful ingredients on their rotating chalkboard menu. Great bar + wine selection and real service - please tip !!Elgin Street Central Hong Kong Island
While away the hours of day or of night at this casual, open-air bar in the thick of Soho. If conversation flags, recruit new friends to your tab - 3 very impressive receipts are framed in the back!Staunton Street Hongkong Hong Kong Island

Soho people-watching and day-or-night drinking at its best. Perfect location, charmingly questionably-maintained facilities, quick drink service, enough said.
My Sichuan pick for upscale and super spicy Sichuan food right in Soho! Slick and dark design makes it good for dates as well as group events, but prepare for the water bill to be about half the tab.
An extensive beer list, selection of mixed drinks (try the Bloody Mary made with cherry tomatoes!) and a solid menu of British pub food in this surprisingly cavernous Soho space. Service can be slow.Graham Street
So-called private kitchen restaurants have long been a thing for Hong Kong restaurpreneurs amidst high rent and licensing -- Da Ping Huo is special for its operatic finale to the basement dinner.Hollywood Road Central Hong Kong Island
Best egg tarts in HK. This little store was recently renovated, but the spruced up front does not take away from the perfected and unpretentious fresh-cooked egg tarts and brusquely efficient service.
My Hong Kong standby for great food, people-watching, and an active bar scene pretty much every night of the week!Wyndham Street Hong Kong Island 香港 HK
Drink and dance. Dress code enforced. By daylight, dragon-i serves a great and posher version of dim sum (and has a good all-you-can-eat dim sum special over weekdays).雲咸街 Hong Kong Island 新界
For Hong Kong charm and a quick milk tea / noodle fix -- this is a semi-enclosed dai pin dong open air food stall and an institution amidst the wet market underneath Lyndhurst Terrace.Gage Street Central Hong Kong Island
A very popular, no frills, Cantonese dim-sum establishment and an old Hong Kong landmark -- its a two-story space and turnover is quick; go upstairs if there isnt room on the ground floor!Stanley St Central
My favorite Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong! Wonderful high-quality ingredients, quietly impeccable service, clean and unpretentious atmosphere. Truly a relief of a restaurant (tomeatsjencooks)Kau U Fong 香港
Loud, efficient, Cantonese dim sum at its best. This Hong Kong institution is all trolley-laden dim sum thrills, no extra frills.
Southern ribs + cornbread in Hong Kong? YES! Fantastic for groups, by reservation only, BYOB, and with large private dining rooms to contain all the buttery southern cooking indulgence you can handle.Po Yan Street Sheung Wan Hong Kong Island
One of the more famous dim sum institutions in Hong Kong, and the location is pretty unbeatable. Be prepared to wait if you go on the weekend as they dont take reservations
My pick for a Chinese meal (or just drinks at Aqua upstairs) if you want to awe or be awed with the city views and decor. The food is great, but there is better value elsewhere...Peking Road Hong Kong Island
My go-to for perfected dumplings and juicy xiao long bao (also a location in Causeway Bay). Efficient service and there is always the lore of knowing each soup dumpling has precisely 18 foldsCanton Road Hong Kong Island
