Lovely place, helpful staff and suited all our needs.
We were a group of 8, which meant we had plenty of room -- 3x en suite doubles, a loads of singles - and Gillian (Ruth's colleague) was very helpful. Only one small hiccup when the heating broke down at night (we went in February and it was freezing), but it was fixed in the morning.
The lodge is next door (about 400m away) to the Manor house, which is a Catholic Youth Centre now. The lodge itself is comfortable, functional, a good base for large groups -- the kitchen table is a great talking space. There's a dryer for those sudden rainstorms you'll see at certain times of year, and a dishwasher.
We had a great time here, because of the space available. It would have felt empty with fewer than 8 people though.
This is a large accommodation just a few minutes walk to downtown. It's comfortable, on beautiful grounds, and was well suited to our party of 7.
