Great location and perfect for our family trip with the Aussie side of the clan!
We were only there a few days and the weather wasn't the best - but the house was a great base and is in a fantastic location - maybe 10 minutes walk into Keswick.
It's well equipped but don't expect boutique hotel - its basic and clean - but it is homely - the open plan kitchen diner/lounge is great for family games - we had an impromptu ping-pong tournament on the massive table!
All in all its a bit of a gem....I hope its free next time we want to visit!
Excellent place to stay - very clean etc and helpful communication. Would highly recommend.
The lodge was a perfect base for our needs, we were a group of 6 staying for a wedding. The lodge is on the edge of Keswick only a ten minute walk into the town. The house itself was warm and dry, very comfortable. There was a well equipped kitchen and large table that sat 10. The living room area was very comfortable with cable TV although we didn't use it much. The beds and linen were very comfortable, the place was very clean. The decor is a little dated but with the Lakes on your doorstep who cares?! This place is amazing value for the space and facilities on offer.
Just what was wanted for a winter weekend stay near Keswick for me and my 3 adult sons. Convenient for the town, the lake and a walk up Skiddaw on a sunny day with snow on the tops, followed by a good meal in a welcoming pub. The Lodge was warm and the beds comfortable. We would definitely go again.
Great stay and everyone was very welcoming. Lovely house for 10 of us. Would stay here again.
