Terese was in contact several times before my scheduled arrival to make sure I had good directions. That was very helpful!
The place is beautiful and there were great spaces to just sit and read, have coffee, or think inside and out. I wish I'd had more time to take advantage of the spaces...but, alas, I was up there for work.
I'll have to make time to come back for the company (Therese is a great conversationalist and very interesting!), delicious breakfast (eggs from her chickens and warm muffins!), and the peace and quiet.
I felt very welcome in a cozy house. Bed and bath were fine. The breakfast was outstanding. Thérèse was a fine host and a nice person to talk about various subjects.
I was in Lewisburg for the PIAA state swimming championships and had a lovely stay at Dancing Bear. I was able to book my room at the last minute and the owner, Therese, responded to my inquiries quickly, which was very helpful. Although I arrived late, on fog enshrouded roads, I found the farm without a problem and Therese was waiting there for my arrival and was attentive throughout my stay. The house was warm and inviting and the room was clean and cozy. It was also nice that my son, who was competing, was able to come back to the room between his events both days and rest in peace and quiet. The homemade breakfasts were delicious and varied, based on what I wanted, each day. There was also hot water set out for tea, coffee or hot chocolate for guests to enjoy throughout the day. The trip to Bucknell each day was quick and easy. I enjoyed my stay at Dancing Bear Farm and will be back next year, if not before. Thanks Therese!
Charming. I would recommend enthusiastically this place to anyone, especially to: families with kids, people who love musical instruments, poets or nature. It's a great place to gain some inspiration.
The reservation was canceled 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We had another wonderful stay at the Dancing Bear Farm! We came last year on our way to Rochester for Thanksgiving and decided to do it again this year. We'll definitely be back next year! Therese is a wonderful host and makes a delicious breakfast. It's a wonderful oasis.
We stayed one night in the Mama Bear room with a family of four. It was lovely to have the extra office and downstairs living room space, as well as the beautiful grounds and nearby countryside, so that we could spread out and walk around as needed. We really enjoyed meeting Therese, who made us an incredible breakfast. Really nice place to stay and highly recommended.
