This is a very spacious two bedroom apartment in the centre of Chamonix on Rue Joseph Vallot. Situated on the 1st floor of an old French building with traditional tall double glazed windows giving views up to Mont Blanc and l'Aiguille du Midi. The apartment is stylishly furnished and decorated to maximise the space and light and is ideal for a family or two couples, with one master queen bedroom and one twin bedroom, plus a pull out double sofa in the living area. It has a bathroom with shower & WC.
The open plan living room has two large sofas (one pull out), plus a foldaway dining table and 6 stools for eating. The kitchen is well kitted out with full size oven, 4 ring electric hob, dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle etc. There is plenty of wardrobe space and an area by the entrance for ski boot storage and skis etc. There is WiFi internet throughout, plus TV & DVD player with a wide selection of DVDs, books, an iPod dock and a digital radio. There is also a washing machine.
The property is within minutes of the town centre (4 minute walk), ski lifts, the sports Centre and swimming pool (3 minutes), restaurants, supermarkets and all the amenities of Chamonix. There is also an underground parking space for one car which is located 80m away. The apartment is centrally heated throughout and is nice and warm throughout even the coldest winter months.
In the winter you are close to the Savoy Nursery ski slope in the centre of Chamonix and from here you can take the poma lift up to the main ski station for Brevent. There is also a bus stop outside the apartment building (free bus network) for easy access to the other ski lifts in Chamonix valley.
In the summer you are 100m away from the outdoor 50m swimming pool with aqua slides, as well as the lake, water-rafting, tennis club, mountain biking and river walks all on your doorstep.
Rue Joseph Vallot is home to top eateries including the famous Papillion for fantastic take-away and there is a terrific Sushi restaurant on the corner. There is a bakery 25m from the front door with milk, fresh pastries and a tea house serving hot drinks. Ski hire across the road.
The apartment however is also in a nice quiet location so no rowdy ski parties nearby!
If you require extra services like a personal meet and greet, early check-in or late check-out, shuttle services, lift passes, babysitting - these can be provided at extra-charge through our property management company.
We adore Chamonix Mont Blanc - it is our retreat in the mountains and we hope you will treat it with adoration too. We therefore have 5 strict rules we would like you to follow..
(1) Please take your shoes and ski boots off at the door and leave them on the racks provided. The floor boards feel better in bare feet or socks!
(2) Please be respectful of our neighbours - we like them, and want to keep it that way.
(3) We really don't like smoking, so please do not do it. Don't even do it if you hang out the window or on the balcony, please!
(4) With people coming in and out, something might not work, or you might accidentally break or damage something - please just let us know so we can repair or replace it.
(5) Have an amazing time - Enjoy Chamonix, it is simply heaven on earth!
