The Neighborhood

The neighborhood is populated but safe and quiet in the same time. Around the house you can find supermarket, butcher shop, grocery store, and one of the best bakeries is Athens which makes the best "peinirli" (something like pizza) in town!

The metro station Ambelokipoi (blue line, same as the airport metro line) is 3 minutes away by feet.

  • Anastasia is a very friendly and approachable person. I am very happy that she was kind enough to host me for 9 days in athens. The house is located ideally. It is within walking distance of two metro stations. From there someone can easily go to th city center for visiting all the touristic spots of the city. I would definitely recommend this place and I would be happy to return in the future. Thank you anastasia!

  • Living in Anastasias apartment was comfortable. She's a nice person which is very straightforward. The room is large, there's a lot of space, even the wardrobe. The only disadvantage of that room is the little too noisy street (motorbikes, bus, cars) your window and balkon are directed.

  • I stayed at Anastasia's place for a little more than a month. The room/apartment has everything you could ever need and is really close to the city center. Anastasia is the best host you could ask for. Extremely kind, interesting and helpful. Why stay anywhere else in Athens :)

  • Anastasia took me to a great lunch spot during her work lunch break -- it was great!

She is lovely to stay with.

  • I arrived in Athens looking for a respite from an insanity of work stress, and Anastasia's flat was perfect! It's airy, breezy and spacious for a relaxing stay in the city centre while remaining detached from touristy nonsense. Anastasia is also a lovely host, easy to get along with, and ready for a glass of wine after a day of her photography work. Overall makes for a brilliant experience in the Greek capital.

I live and work in Athens. The "handmade" house in Acharavy belongs to my parents. I used to spent my summers there as a child so I realy care about that place. Now it's empty the major part of the year so I thought about giving it a little bit of life again!
