The neighborhood is populated but safe and quiet in the same time. Around the house you can find supermarket, butcher shop, grocery store, and one of the best bakeries is Athens which makes the best "peinirli" (something like pizza) in town!
The metro station Ambelokipoi (blue line, same as the airport metro line) is 3 minutes away by feet.
NO SHOES PLEASE! :)
I only stayed for a few days and it surely was no hassle at all. Anastasia is an excellent host and made sure the place is quiet and smoke free. The location is spot on and only few minutes walk away from the nearest Metro station. Accessing the city centre and other places of interest is just 10-15 minutes away by Metro. All amenities are nearby and I will surely come back! Thank you Anastasia! Geia sou kai na eisai kala!
Anastasia was an amazing host. She showed me around Athens my first day, and also took one of her good friends with her so I was able to meet someone. She gave me maps, and explained where everything was and also explained the metro system to me. So I was able to manage on my own very well thanks to her! It was a great stay! Perfect neighborhood and really close to everywhere! She made me feel at home. I definitely recommend her as your host (:
Anastasia is a perfect host! She is really friendly and does everything to make your stay uncomplicated and enjoyable. Anastasia is a awesome roomate and was one of the reasons, why i felt so comfotable in Athens. I stayed for 6 weeks at her place and it was always uncomlicated. The Apartment is really cosy and clean. It offers everything you need and has a good location with easy access to the Metro. I highly recommend to stay in Anastasias Apartment if you want to visit Athens! :)
Anastasia was very welcoming and extremely helpful when I asked some information about going around the city. It was easy to meet at the time that was convenient for me. Then I was fully independent during my stay. Great location, very close to the metro station ideal for visiting city center but also other areas of Athens. A great stay all in all!
Anastasia is awesome! She was extremely welcoming - not only did she provide me with maps of athens in my room, but as a native of Greece, having lived in Athens for years, she had great recommendations when I asked where to go and what island I should try to visit. I learned so much about Greece from pleasant chats with her in the evenings. She cleared out closet space and had hangers ready for me, left books by the bed, and the room itself was large and comfortable. The apartment is in a perfect location, at enough from the city center that there are local hole-in-the-wall, delicious restaurants and cafés but only 15 minute metro ride to Monastiraki. I would definitely recommend staying with her!
Anastasia is a very friendly and approachable person. I am very happy that she was kind enough to host me for 9 days in athens. The house is located ideally. It is within walking distance of two metro stations. From there someone can easily go to th city center for visiting all the touristic spots of the city. I would definitely recommend this place and I would be happy to return in the future. Thank you anastasia!

About the Host, Anastasia
I live and work in Athens. The "handmade" house in Acharavy belongs to my parents. I used to spent my summers there as a child so I realy care about that place. Now it's empty the major part of the year so I thought about giving it a little bit of life again!
