About This Listing
Comfy double bed (futon style on the floor) in attic room of our house. We (Laura & Jonty) are welcoming hosts and can fill you in on local knowlege and the good pubs nearby.
Our house is on a steep hill (great for tobogganing!) very close to Heeley City Farm and a 25 minute walk into Sheffield City Centre. There are bus routes nearby. The Peak District is only 20 mins drive.
We have a log fire in the living room and a gas burner in the kitchen/dining room. It's quite a quirky house, being a circus performer myself, I have lots of costumes and props hanging up!
The attic room is basic, there is a chest of drawers you are welcome to use, but no wardrobe.
The bathroom is really modern and nice, great rustic kitchen, you're welcome to use both of course!
We have WIFI you can use but we don't have a TV.
No smoking inside please
You'll be sharing the attic with a few costumes - don't worry though, the venus fly trap doesn't bite!
The house is lovely and we were made very welcome by Laura and Jonty.
I really enjoyed my stay with Laura and Jonty. They were both really friendly and welcoming. Laura's communications before my arrival were great as she was away on work for my first week so her husband Jonty was there to welcome me. The room was just as described, a cosy attic room, the futon bed was very comfortable and it was a great space to chill out. There was ample on-street parking, and the house is a 20min walk into town. The neighbours were lovely too. Laura and Jonty were very accommodating when my plans changed and I had to work away for a couple of days. Overall I was made to feel at home during my stay and even got invited to dinner with family and friends. I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to Sheffield. Thanks!
From the time arrived until the time I left I felt totally welcomed at Laura and Jonty's, my home away from home in Sheffield. The private attic room was warm and comfortable.
Laura and Jonty are incredible hosts, after only a short time we all became good friends.
Consider yourself lucky if you are able to stay at their home in Heeley.
Laura and Jonty have been great. We were with our one year old boy and we really felt at home with them. They have been very hepful with everything: kitchen, temperature, well, everything.
Laura and Jonty are brilliant hosts! They were very understanding when we turned up after midnight when our journey to Sheffield took hours longer than we intended. The house is beautiful and in a great location, and the room is very good value. This was my first Airbnb experience and definitely a positive one!
Jonty & Laura made me feel very at home whilst I was in Sheffield working for one week. Great location for heading out to eat in the Evenings and has a beautiful view across Sheffield. Thanks guys!
I stayed at Laura's for 3 nights this June while I was in town for a festival. The house is a 30mn walk from the city center, up a hill. The route to get there from the train station is very straight-forward, but you do have to like walking! Laura was the most adorable host, offered me delicious breakfast, and, after I got soaked in a heavy British rain, she was so kind to lend me a pair of her (dry!) sneakers the next day. Laura's house is very cozy, it felt right at home in Heeley. The bedroom is very quiet and cozy. Definitely a nice place to explore Sheffield from!
