If you are in search of a true typical Italian small town experience, that offers both mountain and the Mediterranean Sea, then this 2 bedroom, 2 baths, home is the ideal place. Located in the center of a small hill side town called Coreno Ausonio, The town has a population of 1,800, and is very centrally located and well connected to the freeways, and many tourist spots in central Italy.
Rome is approximately 1 hour and 20 minute drive North and Naples is a 45 minute drive South.
Things to see an do by car in and around Coreno Ausonio :
Approximately 7.6 Km, you will find the Thermal Spring Baths of Suio. These thermal baths are the ancient Aquae Vescinae used by the Romans.

Within 10 Km you can choose to Visit Monte Cassino, The beautiful Monastery of the Benedictine Order.

The sea is located less than 12 km. away, where you will find the beautiful beaches of Formia and Gaeta,as well as the breathtaking beaches of Sperlonga. Ferry boats are available in the city of Formia that will bring you to the romantic Pontine Islands; Ischia, Ponza or Ventotene.

The town is a very tranquil and peaceful place to relax. In the summer there is some type of musical event every weekend night. There is one restaurant within the town called "Il Brigante". The town also has 2 bars where you can have a typical Italian breakfast, or later on you can choose to have an "apperativo" at happy hour. There are two grocery stores with fresh fruits and vegetables

As per transportation a car is a must, although there is a bus that will take you to the main train station in Formia or Cassino..


The house is located in the center of town.

The best way to get around is by car.
Public transportation via bus is available but times are limited.
Street parking is available.
From Rome Airport by car take the freeway A1 toward Naples. Exit Cassino turn right toward Formia. Follow signs to Ausonia/ Coreno Ausonio.

Nous étions attendus chaleureusement, dès notre arrivée, nous avons été pris en charge très gentiment. Grand logement parfaitement décrit sur le site. Quartier calme, très jolie village de 1700 habitants, avec tous les services à proximité. Nombreuses animations le soir sur la place de l'église. Et la mer est à coté. Les liaisons pour Rome et Naples sont facilitées avec le train bon marché.
