SERENE yet only 5 minutes to downtown Northampton! House is set in a hamlet 5 minutes from downtown Northampton & 8 miles from UMass. Surrounded by magnificent views of the mountains, acres of farm land and the ever-changing beauty of the Connecticut River, it is the perfect home base for any visit to the Valley.
The house is one walkable mile to the bus stop and to the Tri-County Fairgrounds, home of the Fair, Paradise CIty Arts Festival and horse shows. The bike paths are easy to access.
Perfect for visits to any of the five colleges, get aways, graduations, weddings or reunions. The household has one cat, an adorable small dog and a friendly lesbian to greet you. Bountiful (sometimes self-serve,) breakfast is included and served at your table overlooking the river. Wifi and fees are included. No pets or smoking, please.
Every season enjoy the natural wonder that surrounds this home; a rare combination of water, mountains and meadows. Watch for eagles from the tree house view over the powerful Connecticut River.
Close to downtown shops and great restaurants with hiking and biking right out the door. A smaller sage room with a Queen bed may be available if you need more space.

Access to beverage fridge. I have red and white wine and myriad soft drinks to at least get you started. Need a snack? No one will go hungry in this house.

Sometimes a lot, sometimes a little; depends on your schedule and mine. I'm almost always here to host your breakfast and can answer any questions and set you up with what you might need. Maybe you will want to come to a dance lesson with me or I can help with restaurant choices....
Wow! Where to begin? I say we are surrounded by farmland and the Connecticut River, yet people are still surprised by the beauty of the treehouse feeling as they overlook the river from their quiet, beautiful room. 5 minutes to Northampton's vibrant downtown...shops, music venues, art galleries. You can be busy or hang out at one of the many coffee cafes. Or both.
One mile walk or bike ride to PVTA bus system bus stop that goes downtown, to all the colleges, etc. 5 minutes to downtown by car. 10-15 minutes to Hampshire College and UMass Amherst.
Other Things to Note
Eco-consciousness with none of the hardships. Solar system, hybrid hot water heater and high-efficiency washer and dryer, heating and cooling device, compost and recycling....phew...All efforts are behind the scenes of your serene and luxurious respite.
Simple: No smoking and be nice to the cat and small dog.
