We had a great stay at Mary´s house with a great view on a river and a beautiful living room. Its a 5-10 minute walk to the center of the village. I highly recommend a room in this house for those who like to discover the National Park and Killarney!
We had a fantastic stay at the Killarney B&B. It is about a 15 minute walk to downtown Killarney with a beautiful view of the river. The staff is very friendly and made us a fantastic Irish breakfast in the mornings. The lounge with "always available" coffee/tea and biscuits was also really appreciated.
They also helped us track down a hair dryer and wine bottle opener when needed. :)
I have nothing but great things to say about this B&B and would definitely recommend it to others if looking to stay in Killarney.
If you are traveling to Killarney, you must stay at Mary's guest house. Ideally located for a walk to the city or a trip to the national park. The breakfast was sumptuous. The river runs adjacent to the property and makes for a pleasant night sleeps. Ideal setting, wonderful host:)
Zimmer war sehr klein! Badezimmer winzig!
We had such a great time at Killarney view house! The team was very nice and available (they immediately offered to dry our clothes and offered us tea and cookies after we got back soaking wet from a walk). The room was small (tiny bathroom) but comfortable, the breakfast offered a lot of choice and the lounge room is the perfect place to relax after a long day. It's a 20-min walk from the city centre and the national park. Overall we recommend this place to you.
When I made the reservation, I was under the impression that this was someone's home on the water with a beautiful view and wonderful rooms. It is not a home, it is more like a hotel. Upon arrival, our triple room that we booked was unavailable. The employees apologized and tried to accommodate us by letting us choose from two different rooms; both of which were very small for three people. They brought us a roll-a-way bed which was fine and we were satisfied. However, upon further inspection of the room and the facility we noticed that the bathroom door was not private at all. There is a huge gap on either side of the sliding door and it does not provide the needed privacy for a teen daughter or myself. No toiletries, shampoo, soap, etc. The doors and walls are thin and we could hear the other guests in the hall. Also, the wifi would not reach the room which was the last one on the hall, so I had to go to the lounge to use my Kindle. (There is a lovely view of the river from the lounge and comfortable seating). Also, the windows were open in the room when we arrived which was fine for letting in fresh air, but that night many bugs were inside when we returned from dinner. I highly recommend closing your windows before dark. Later, the young man who was helping us brought me a tray of fruit and mints, which was a very nice gesture. That night, I realized we didn't have enough towels, and when I went to ask, he told me there was a cancellation and he would give us the extra room at no cost. Wonderful resolution, thank goodness. Our daughter was much happier and so were we. The young lady and man that helped us were very kind. The breakfast the next morning was very good, with cereal, eggs, black pudding, toast, etc.
Wonderful location, very friendly staff, amazing views, quiet, peaceful. Helpful advise, comfortable bed car parking. Everything we needed plus a good Irish breakfast that wasn't too big.
I wanted to stay longer.
Great place to stay. Helpfull and lovely staff. Good location. Highly recommend!
This house is in a wonderful location beside a river. It is convenient to the town and is easily accessible by car. Our room was very clean and maintained that way during our stay. Fresh towels each day was a lovely touch. We had a problem with the shower which was fixed the same day that it was reported.Breakfast was exceptional and provided in a light dinning room overlooking the river. We would recommend this place to an one anyone and especially to our friends.
Absolutely lovely accommodations. The lounge on the river was so pleasant, the breakfast was delicious and the staff could not do enough for us. Kudos to Kathleen, Fiona, and Mary.
