The Friendship Villa is 3h drive away from Colombo airport if you take the new expressway. The closest train station is the one in Galle, which is 10 minutes drive away from our place.
We are still having some small constructions at the house but be assured that you wont be bothered by that.
You might run into Sri-Lankan neighbours and monks around the friendship villa. Please respect them by covering yourself at the temple or on the way to the beach. Thank you!
Unfortunately, we spent just one night in Friendship Villa but promised, next time, we will spend more time! Jagath and his family are very nice, friendly and helpful. His daughters, Nishadi and Shanika are very funny and cute! :) (Perfect models for tatoos :p)
The villa is well situated, it's peaceful and the nature is wonderful, we feel like at home!
Bless you and your family, all best things to you
Hope to see you soon

The FriendshipVilla is the place to stay when in Galle, if you want a local experience with the most loving family. The family helps you with everything, so you really feel like home. The house is placed beautifully in the jungle. The rooms are great with everything you need. You have to try their local food, it is amazing and spend time with the family. You never want to leave!
This family is just amazing! They were so friendly, heartly and so incredible open minded to me. I am really gratefull to know them and can highliy recommend this beautifull guest house - especially to woman, who are travelling on their own. They helped me a lot and take care about me all the time! Would love to stay longer, but there was no more time for me. Hope to see this wunderful family again!
The room was spacious and well-equipped. It opens onto a large terrace which is delightful to relax on. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and anxious to please. The location is on the fringe of Galle, but you can get to the Fort on foot in 40 minutes, and by bus or 3-wheeler in 10 minutes. Overall an excellent experience.
Jagash and his lovely family are very friendly, they take care of us and make sure we enjoy our stay with them. The villa is out of the Galle city which is quite and surrounding by natural, we can hear birds singing and all the day. the balcony is so nice, you can sitting there, feel the breeze, very relaxing. Jagash's wife is really a excellent chef, we eat the best curry in our trip in Sri Lanka. you must try her dinner! all the food comes from Jagash's farm, all is so fresh and delicious! We stay for 2 nights, and we rent a motorbike from Jagath, its really good if you can driving, easy to getting around and feel more like a local. We high recommend this place to everyone!
Extremely welcoming host family, eager to help in any way possible. The room was spacious and very clean, and the food was some of the best I had in Lanka. The location for me was preferable to the fort. Very highly recommended!
The place was new and very spacious and surrounded by greenery. The have there own veggie garden and offered us coconuts on our arrival. The family was very friendly and liked to chat. It was a lovely place to stay however you need to pay each time for a tuktuk to get to the beach or downtown Galle or Unawatuna due to the distance.
