Staying with Anne-Florence and David is like staying in the home of friends. They are welcoming and relaxed. The house is convenient to public transport - a 5 min walk to Ripponlea Station and less to the tram stop. The house is warm - even during the coldest few days that Melbourne had while I stayed there. The room is a good size and the bed is comfortable. The photos are an accurate representation of the place.
My first experience with airbnb and it was great. Anne was extremely hospitable and made me feel right at home. Bonus sailing on Wednesday afternoons. Do not miss.
Anne-Florence and David are very welcoming and friendly.
I enjoyed my time!
Awesome! I highly recommend Anne-Florence. A beautiful place to live, quiet neighborhood, great house and especially lovely neighbors!!! Anne-Florence and her husband are lovely people, open, sociable, smiling. Upon my arrival, Anne-Florence helped and guided me for my stay in Australia. We had great moments of fun! No problem Anne-Florence, see you next year :)
I arrived in the Anne-Florence and David house in January the 10th. Since that day, they involved me with a lot of enthusiasm into their activities and introduced me to their friends circle. In this way, I had the chance to participate in the Melbourne sailing races with, amongst others, the meet of a gorgeous hammerhead shark on our way. Really pleasant time!
These wonderful experiences allowed me to understand how awesome their life style is in Melbourne.
They also helped me to find an apartment and settle down in Melbourne. For all these great moments shared, it is my pleasure to highly recommend this wonderful house and this fantastic couple who are Anne-Florence and David.
All the best!
lovely room in a nice house with garden and everything you would await. close to everything (tram, train, shops) and great hosts. highly recommended.
Room was neat, clean, and exactly as advertised.
3 minutes away (by foot) from a quaint little village (with small cafes, laundry services and convenience stores) and the Ripponlea Metro station, and a stone's throw from the scenic Ripponlea Mansion. Anne and David were warm hosts (unfortunately I was out most of the time =P ), and fun to chat with.
Thanks for the comfortable stay Anne!
Loved staying here, made to feel really at home- loads of space, comfy bed, easy to get around, had everything I needed although didn't see much of Anne-florence !
Anne Florence and David are wonderful hosts. Their Victorian (?) home is a minutes walk from the metro station of Ripponlea and the local grocery shops, cafes etc etc. From Ripponlea it is just 6 stops to the very central Melbourne Flinders Street rail station, with fares as low as $3.50 return. Their home is also on major tram routes, and a 20 minute walk to St Kilda (funky, beach community). Despite the accessibility, the home being in a quiet surburban street, there is no problem getting a great nights sleep! The bed is super comfy and the bedroom has plenty of furniture for your belongings to go in. You also get your own fridge freezer and of course shared use of all the kitchen and bathroom facilities. If you're at home alone, the cats will keep you occupied! Anne Florence and David are funny, educated and professional people that enjoy their lives. They may invite you to take part in some of their activities such as beach, drinking a wine, music concerts. If you turn them down to stay in and read a book, they wont be offended. If you accept you will have a lot of fun. If you're wondering whether to stay, wonder no more, just do it!
Anne florence is very nice. Her house is in a calm place. It is clean.
