About this listing
Our 100 year old villa has been undergoing years of restoration and renovation. We now can offer guests a separate section of the house with two queen bedrooms, each with ensuite (toilet, shower, basin) and garden view. The rooms have private entrances via French doors and ample outside space to hang out on the porch or in the yard. Guests can park outside their room. The two rooms share a lounge with seating for watching TV/DVD, relaxing or enjoying a cuppa. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the lounge and we provide a light breakfast so guests don't leave on an empty stomach. There are no cooking facilities but Kaikoura has numerous dining and takeaway options.
Our house is 80 m from the sea, a short walk to Dolphin Encounter and a 10-15 minute walk to town. The Kaikoura peninsular track can be reached by crossing the street.

Billy and I have lived in Kaikoura since 2001. Ten years earlier on a NZ cycling trip, we decided Kaikoura should eventually be our home. In the past 30 years we've lived in W. Africa, the U.S., the Middle East, Europe and S.E. Asia. We still enjoy traveling as much as possible, usually by bicycle. However, Kaikoura has indeed become our home and we'd love to help you enjoy it.
