Welcome to our beautiful single-family home with a large dock on lagoon waterfront. Wake up to the water outside your sliding corner bedroom doors! This is a truly magical property for you to relax and enjoy, right in the heart of Silicon Valley.

There is plenty of space for hosting offsites & family time.
Please note that we own a dog — the property is thoroughly cleaned for guests, but if you have dog allergies, this might not be the best option for you.
► City regulations don't allow "parties or special events" in any Airbnb in San Mateo. This means no large pre-planned events (like weddings ).
► You are welcome to invite friends over for a quiet get-together to enjoy our backyard.
► The entire property is optimized for thinking and bonding time, including: High quality glass whiteboards in the casita and main house , blazing fast internet everywhere (including on the dock) plenty of indoor/outdoor creative space, desks & private "nook" spaces for working from home.
► The 14% San Mateo tax is *included* in your rate: We will pay it from your booking
About your Experience

► We offer complimentary maid cleaning services for stays 4+ days long. Our house cleaner will wash your towels and clean the kitchen and bathrooms as necessary every 4 days. (You're free to decline if you don't want this!)
► If you don't want to do your own cooking, we can recommend private chefs & more.
About the Hosts:

Your host, DROdio, is a startup Founder and runs a vibrant Founder community called FounderCulture.
► We love to host groups that want to bond together. We've really worked to make our space great for you to think creatively.
► DROdio also has three kids and knows how it's *even harder* to find a family-friendly creative space. Our space is great for working from home, great for play, and great for having *kids* play while *you* work!
► If you need childcare while visiting: We can recommend a great nanny that we use ourselves and is familiar with the property.
About the Back Yard:

Large, terraced backyard with many fun "play" items. All are to be used at your own risk.

► Large high-heat built-in propane grill + wood pellet smoker w/ timer (and plenty of wood pellets!). We also have a propane Ooni 16" pizza oven
► Nordic dry+steam barrel sauna on the property.
► 4-6 person Jacuzzi on the dock
► Large deck with couches, a fire pit, dining table and workout equipment.
► Expansive dock with deck furniture as well as two Standup Paddleboards (SUPs), one two-person kayak, and three kids' kayaks. We have life jackets available but you agree to use all items at your own risk, and we make no guarantees or representations as to the condition or safety of the items.
► Detached casita contains a desk, two desk chairs, external monitor with AppleTV and fold-down Murphy bed
► Soccer balls & net, hammock and outdoor games
► Short walk or kayak to Parkside aquatic park with playground, beach & grills.

About Pets:

We are pet lovers but unfortunately can't allow pets.
Guest access
► You'll have private access to the entire property, which is gated.
► There are two small steps up to the main door. If you need a more accessible option, there is a side entrance with no steps, and one of the bedrooms, one of the full bathrooms, and the large kids play area is accessible without steps.
Early check-in / late check-out:

If you would like either or both of these, message me to see if they are available based on your dates:
► We may be able to offer an early check-in: If so: Cost is $100 for every hour before regular check-in time, up to two hours before normal check-in time.
► We may be able to offer a late check-out: If so: Cost is $100 for every hour past regular check-out time, up to two hours past normal check-out time.
► We may be able to offer early or late luggage drop off. Cost is $50 per hour outside of the normal check-in/check-out times.
Other things to note
► No loud parties, events or weddings.
► Loud music, parties or other disruptive events will be shut down immediately with no refunds provided.
►We ask that guests avoid moving the furniture. If you happen to rearrange something, please make sure to place it back where it was before leaving.
► There is ample on-street parking for you to have friends over -- just do not block a neighbor's driveway.
► Owner has a Sprinter camper van parked at the back of the driveway, and may sometimes be onsite with the van (but will not enter the house).
► Guests must be at least 25 years old to book.
