Daniela was a fantastic Air BnB host! My flight (overnight) had me arriving really early in the morning and she was nice enough to greet me and let me check in early! During my stay I had a couple of questions and she was quick to respond (she recommended a FANTASTIC pizza place - il Corrallo). I chose this apartment because of the location and I wanted to have my own place in the heart of Rome - this is REALLY the perfect apartment if you're looking to do a lot of exploring (and not spend a lot of time in the apartment). I spent 7 nights in Rome (technically 6, as I took a day trip to Florence). Everything was within a 15 - 30 minute walk. During my stay, I was able to visit the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Piazza del Popolo, Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, the Capuchin Crypts, Trastevere neighborhood, and the Museo Capolini - all without taking any public transportation! I even walked to Termini Station (though you can figure out pretty quickly how to take the bus and get around). So yes, the apartment is small - but it really has everything you would need to stay for a week. There's a market/store to buy all your essentials all within a few blocks and the kitchen is stocked with utensils/plates/some cooking material (though I spent most the time going out to eat and trying local restaurants). I would say it's best for someone traveling solo OR a couple/two friends. I HIGHLY recommend booking this place :) Daniela is sweet and easy to work with and you really can't beat the location if you're looking to explore the heart of Rome! Grazie mille Daniela!

The location and price of this airbnb is fantastic! Just a few minutes walk from the Campo Di Fiori market, and there are great restaurants all around. It's only about a 20 minute walk from the Roman forum, 25 minute walk from the Vatican, and a 15 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. The size is perfect for two people, and I would definitely recommend it!

Please be aware that these comments are based on my particular expectations and preferences. Different people tolerate different things and come for different reasons. I will add that much (if not all) is not the host's fault. 1. I came for 3 days of work and needed quiet, pleasant, convenient surroundings. The studio is well-equipped inside and meets basic requirements--clean and functioning. However, it has no windows and has a particular musty, dingy smell. The building has many residents and all the garbage and recycling bins are next to the door of this studio. I was unprepared for that and for the smells, the first thing in the morning and the last thing at night. I prefer windows and pleasant smells. At least for the days I was there, there was pounding and hammering, some reconstruction work, right upstairs, above my head, starting at 8 am, even on the Saturday morning I was there. There was also some electricity work outside on the street, and the lights were out for a few hours. I had to go elsewhere to recharge my computer and phone which were running low on battery just at that time. I wrote the host and was given instructions to use the alternate generator. I was busy at work and was sleepy, tired, hungry and confused from a long journey and the demands of work, and was very reluctant to touch anything. So noise, smells, and an outage across the 3 days I was there. Again, please remember that I have expectations when I travel--basic comforts and a decent, pleasant ambience. I did have the former (when there was electricity) but definitely not the latter. I am also aware that you get what you pay for--I rented this studio for the convenience of the location in relation to my work and I got that but not much else. Let me repeat that there were the basic necessities inside the studio, and much of what happened is not directly the host's fault, but certain omissions (like where the garbage cans are or that there are no windows, neither of which is in the photos obviously) made the place barely tolerable for 3 days. I have absolutely nothing against the host and nothing against what is inside the studio.

Response from Daniela:
Dear Sonita, 1 - You just told me about your limited budget and I made you a discount. 2 - You write that the studio is not silent. Unfortunately I can not know of the urgent work of refurbishing an apartment in the palace, and I am sorry for the possible discomfort, however never at night. 3 - You asked me to anticipate the check-in time but for me it was impossible before 13:00 as scheduled in the Airbnb apartment rules because I had other clients at home and then I had the linen change and the cleaning of the studio. 4 - The lack of electricity was a momentary problem in the whole area. We immediately came to your request, but the light was already back. 5 - You have complained of the odor coming from the courtyard adjacent to the studio (we will try to find the cause) without remembering that a rule is NOT SMOKING and you smoked cigarettes at home. So I can only hope that next time you will be more objective in your references. I wish you a fantastic life.

Daniela was a very helpful and friendly hostess and responded to text/emails almost immediately. Her apartment is a studio so it isn't very big, but has all the amenities needed. It's also convienently located within walking distance of most major sights. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the bed is a pullout and as such, wasn't the most comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
