Cernter of Achuza, new modern fully equipped, green, quiet, surrounding, 5 min walking to Horev center.
It is all about location.
On top of mount Carmel, in Achuza, a most decent and reputable neighborhood, central, close to Haifa university and Technion, 10 min drive by public transporting to the beach, specious 2 bedroom+ small living room apartment. All facilities exists including a washing machine, Internet, 42" led cable TV, many channels, enabling a comfortable long or short stay.
Achuza is the best place in Haifa is 7 min drive by bus far from the wonderful Hoff Hacarmel beach, Haifa Hi-Tech area that is named MATAM is right there, by the beach as well. Achuza area has the best pubs, restaurants, synagogue for religious people and the entire living stream is actually there. But tourists do not know all this important information to make their decision where to rent a place in Haifa. Achuza is the area of all the intellectual lives and it has a great effect of the entire environment which makes the place pleasant to live most.

First the positive - The location was perfect for me, the neighbors were lovely and in theory, the apartment had everything I needed. But there were a few serious challenges - first, the apartment is not on Einstein. It's at 30 Arthur Hantke (around the block). Anat did not give me clear instructions for entry (I was arriving late after Shabbat, which she knew) and I ended up having to sleep in my rental car waiting for her to get back to me with correct instructions. Also, the building is up many, many steps (approximately 5 flights). That was fine for me, but it would be impossible or very difficult for many people, and this should be mentioned in the description. The apartment was not disgusting, but certainly was not clean, particularly the floors. The shower did not work at all. Anat had the shower fixed after I asked twice, but i never did manage to get the hot water to work, even after having the hot water heater on for almost two hours. It was really stressful to only have cold showers. The gas stove did not work at all, which was hard and meant I couldn't cook. A plus - there is an adorable little park behind the apartment building (with stairs that go up to Einstein, and down to Hantke, and a small playground)... but because Anat was so uncommunicative and never came by to say hello or give me instructions, it took me until my second week in the apartment to realize that it was there and I had a key on the ring to open the door. This apartment should be fine, and certainly is a good deal for the money, but it was really stressful for me, and I'm generally very easy going about such things! It's not that I absolutely think you shouldn't stay here, but you should check and make sure these issues are solved and be sure to communicate very carefully and well in advance with Anat.
The location is fantastic; very convenient. The apartment itself is in a quiet spot surrounded by trees, great waking up in the morning to smell nature and hear the birds chirping.
Horev Center is just 5 mins walk away [down the stairs that lead to the carpark below, turn out of the carpark to the right via Hadassah St into Derech Pica St, turn left to see Horev Center] Quite a number of Egged buses and cabs at Horev Center's busstop (Easy to get to the train stations, Grand Kenyon Mall, Ziv neighborhood, German Colony, Arab neighborhood, etc) You can get your groceries, toiletries, basic stuff there. Horev Road for restaurants and cafes :D
Moreover, it was great to go for runs in the morning up Albert Einstein road into Sderot Abba Hushi - the place is AMAZING - gardens and flowers everywhere, lookouts from the top of Haifa, pretty buildings!
Anat is great to communicate with, no hiccups whatsoever. The place was well cleaned, towels and bedsheets were fresh, loved the toaster/oven! The only thing is that the shower head 'piping/connector' (not sure what to call that) wasn't tight enough and needed replacing.
Overall, I definitely would rent the place again if I'm in Haifa.
Everything, written in the description was totally true. The appartment very comfortable and nice. It was clean and cozy. It is very close to a store and a bus stations. Orna was very helpfull when we needed to solve some problems. She was really a great host. Thanks a lot.
