If you've got a pet, this is the place for you. If you don't have a pet, this is the place for you. Hollis was very friendly and accommodating, and her home was besutiful. All of the decorations are from her own art or the work of her students and they give the apt a wonderful and lively New orleans vibe.

This unique shotgun home is eclectic and captures the spirit of New Orleans. It's a two room spot with one bathroom. It's covered in colors, art, and unique decor that puts you in the mood of NOLA. Holis is great with communication and is very welcoming. If you're looking for a spot with a view, this isn't quite the place for you. However, you're located in a residential area that'll make you feel like a local. It's just a few blocks off of Banks St. where you should go to Banks St. Pub, or get a slice of DELICIOUS pizza from MidCity Pizza or breakfast/lunch from Wakin' Bakin'. This spot will make you get out and see the town while also giving you a comfy, cozy place to lay your head. It's super close to the buses/street cars. Also, only a short distance away from various neighborhoods if you are going to use another taxi/Uber/Lyft/etc transportation system. The host is sensitive to making sure the space is clean and you have what you need. The bed spaces include a queen sized bed, a pull-out futon bed, and a cot. I was delighted with the decor, the A/C unit, the use of a TV if we needed to hang out, and refrigerator to store our food/beverages. The only thing you should know is that they have sensitive plumbing, so for us the shower had a hard time draining. Also, it's New Orleans and it's going to rain (sometimes a lot) and the bathroom window had a tendency to leak. Overall, this was a wonderful place and host! Definitely book here!

I love to travel and I also love my city. I am excited to show New Orleans off, especially to first time visitors!

I was born and raised in New Orleans. I am an artist and now run an eclectic store where we recycle and re-purpose household furnishings.
