I have two different rooms/listings in the same 3 bedroom apartment, which I also reside in.
I have a cat, in case of allergies. We are located
close to many shops and restaurants and public transportation. (22 Bus, Cal-Trans, and T-Muni train)
The room itself is midsize, 13'x 11'' and has a view of the S.F. Hills/Twin-Peaks and a partial view of downtown. . Although it faces the street, it is quiet and lovely sunsets at evening time.
The unit is spacious and sunny and recently renovated with high ceilings and hardwood floors.throughout.
There is a short-hair CAT (Trixie) on the premises and she is very sweet and friendly..
The Potrero Hill neighborhood is safe and quiet, and there are lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. We are only a 10-15 minute drive to downtown or Berkeley/Oakland and the pristine beaches South, Public transportation to downtown is only 3 blocks away and takes aprox. 25-30 mins. From there you can connect to the cable-car for destinations to Fisherman's Warf, Chinatown & North beach. The Cal-Trans train station is also 3 blocks away for those who wish to take public to South S.F., Oyster Bay, Mt. View, Palo Alto or San Jose.
If you rent a car, which I advise if you want to see the North Bay (GG Bridge, Marin Headlands, Pt. Bonita, Sausalito, Muir Woods, Stinson Beach and Pt. Reyes) there is plenty of free and safe street parking within the block of so. I will always try to provide at least a continental breakfast and often can do a great deal better if guests are up before 9 or so, and I am not too busy prepping for a truck lunch that particular morning.
High-Speed Internet, In-Room refrigerator, Full Direct TV with HBO etc. Hot-Tub, deck and roof access.
Interaction with Guests
As much as time and schedules permit!
There are lots of restaurants, convenience store and mini-Whole Foods grocery store as well as a few bars all within walking distance. Street parking is free and fairly easy.
Close to public transportation: 22 Bus, Cal-Ttrans and Muni-T stations are all within 3 blocks allowing easy access to downtown, the Mission, Upper and Lower Haight as well as the Castro.
Other Things to Note
Also, we're still in a drought so please try not to flush if it's only pee...(I have blue water discs and if you slightly flush the water will disinfect and turn blue without using 5 gallons of water) !
No smoking indoors...outside deck or in front of the house or by the hot tub area is fine.. No pets please....Ladies, please don't use the towels I provide to wipe off makeup....it ruins them. Please turn off lights when leaving rooms....Light cooking only and please respect the wood and please don't leave wet towels on the hardwood floors...
Fantastic view, beautiful neighborhood and friendly host ever. I enjoyed small party with him and his friends right after I arrived the listing. By being real host he transformed my thought on San francisco and made me love SF. Thanks, Jon I really have great moment!
The host was friendly. Neighborhood is nice. Good places to eat around. Transportation with Uber was very convenient. I think that common areas need to be cleaner. The room was clean overall, but in one room flour was not clean. Bathroom beds etc. were clean.
Tal was a great guest...I would highly recommend him to you hosts out there...
Unfortunately, he arrived at a time when I had a lot going on with my food truck and the kitchen was not at its cleanest...that happens from time to time but I am making improvements in the way of a weekly maid service instead of bi-weekly.
Jon's apartment is in a good location of S.F., within walking distance of cafes, restaurants, stores, and public transportation. I spent a week there without a car and had no trouble getting around or having access to everything I needed. Jon himself isn't exactly what I would call a clean freak, which may or may not be an issue for some, but he is a very accommodating host and was available for any questions I had.
Jon is so nice. His pancakes and toasts are amazing. Trixie is cute:). My first experience using airbnb is really awesome. The view on the roof is remarkable and it is very convenient to take buses and trains. Having Christmas holiday in San Francisco is such a wonderful choice!
Our host Jon was very helpful in giving instructions on how to find our way in SF, and very considerate of our needs. He made great breakfasts!
The room was small but adequate, the view from the balcony was great. We came at a time with cold weather and the heating could have been better.
The neighborhood was quiet and safe and with a good supply of nearby restaurants. Also the communications were very good.
Overall a very nice experience and we would gladly come back.
Jon was an awesome host (no surprises, he's got some SERIOUS experience under his belt).
The apartment was in a great spot for my needs, the room was comfy, house was cool, the view over the balcony is awesome and Jon was not only communicative, friendly, responsive and just plain nice, but he went out of his way–offering me a raincoat, umbrella, map, change for the bus, driving me in the rain, insights into the area...I really couldn't ask for more as a guest and highly recommend him!
See you around sometime :)
