Guest access

You are going to have access to all the amenities and areas of the apartment. You should not have to share the space with nobody else.

Interaction with guests

We welcome you cordially, and we give you the advices we find more suitable for you, to make you enjoy your stay in Salamanca, being the Tourist Office (Oficina de Turismo) in the Plaza Mayor (Main Square) for any additional information. We would ask you please to sign the entrance sheet with the information the administration requires (passport...). We will be at your disposal by mail, telephone, , and the AIrbnb web, in case of doubts or problems. We would only be present at the apartment with your prior authorization.

The neighborhood

What we love about our area is : - we consider it centrally located (7 minutes on foot to Plaza Mayor) – that it is comercial (it has plenty of different business around) – that it is quiet and safe, with people on the street even late (other areas are too lonely) – even if there is ambiance on the area day and night, the apartment is very silent and bright due to its orientation.

Getting around

If you come by car, it is possible to let it in a spacious parking space, for 11 euros/day (optional, it´s five minutes walking from the apartment). To unload and load the baggage, you can let the car the indispensable time close to the entrance door (we are in a blue zone). The closest taxi rank, Puerta de Zamora, is one minute walking. The coach station is twenty minutes away. The train station is twenty minutes away (Vialia), or ten minutes (halt of La Alamedilla).

Other things to note

Just one minute walking and you will find Calle Zamora (Zamora Street), one of the main pedestrian areas in the city. You will be able to begin your sightseeing route visiting the original San Marcos church, with its circular ground plan and Romanesque style. Then, you can go all over Zamora Street where you will find beautiful buildings, shops and cafés until you get to the Main Square.
We strongly recommend to visit the church of the Jesuits (“Clerecía”, with the climbing to its tower “Scala Coeli”), and the Old and New Cathedral, with the climbing to their tower, “Ieronimus”; the University; the Art Nouveau and Art Déco Museum (Casa Lis); the “Huerto de Calixto y Melibea”, the “Monastery of Saint-Esteban
As for the churches, we recommend to visit la “Iglesia de Santa María Magdalena” (a few meters from the “Iglesia de San Marcos”, at the Calle Zamora too, a little more away on the right side, towards Plaza Mayor), and the “Iglesia de la Purísima” (it is the first church I have visited where the paintings were done before the church, being the walls the frame of the paintings).
If you have still time, there are other monuments, like the “Convento (convent) de las Dueñas”, the “Convento de Santa Clara”, …
Apart of the many attractions in Salamanca, we recommend you to visit La Alberca, Miranda del Castañar, San Martín del Castañar, Mogarraz (with its Water Route too), Candelario, Hervás, Ciudad-Rodrigo…

100% recommended. Clean and bright apartment in the centre of Salamanca, well-equipped and perfect for both short and long trips. During our month-long stay Belén and Pablo provided us with everything we could wish for, from soft towels to tips on where to eat and regular weekly cleaning. From the start to the end they offered to help us with whatever we needed, checking in from time to time to make sure everything was fine. It’s clear that they really enjoy hosting visitors and love to help out in any way they can. The apartment is comfortable, with a spacious bedroom and a fantastic shower. The location is excellent, close to the historic centre of Salamanca, shops, and restaurants. Calle Van Dyck is only a 5-minute walk away and has lots of tapas places and a cinema that shows both dubbed and subtitled films. We enjoyed being able to walk to the Plaza Mayor in no time along the beautiful Calle Zamora. The kitchen has everything you need: a Nespresso coffee maker, pans, lots of utensils... We were impressed with the super-modern oven and microwave! The heating is also very good. Even though the outdoor temperature can easily drop below zero at night, the apartment was always warm and cozy. We enjoyed staying in Belén and Pablo’s apartment and would not hesitate to come back.

We loved our stay in Salamanca! Pablo's and Belén apartment is excellent, it was very clean and has all the utilities and amenities you need for a pleasant stay, inclunding a nespresso machine for the coffee lovers like us! The location is great, staying within walking distance from all the hot spots of Salamanca (10m walking to plaza mayor, 5m from calle van dyke for the great tapas, etc.) Pablo and Belén are really nice and were great hosts since the minute 0, providing us all the info we needed and more. They were always available to answer our doubts and to helps us. On arrival Pablo provided us a really complete guide to Salamanca with great tips for what not to miss on the city, from monuments, restaurants, churros spots, and bars. We did not had the chance to meet Belén personally, only by email, but we loved the cake she baked us on the arrival day. During our stay we a had a problem with the parking keys, which Pablo promptly offered to solve after we called him! Overhaul with had a great experience, and Pablo and Belén made us feel really welcome. We've felt like were visiting friends in Salamanca. :) Thank you for everything.

From the minute we booked, Pablo and Belén kept in touch with us to make sure our stay went as smoothly as possible. Although Belen was unable to meet us on the day we arrived, I already know Salamanca well so this was no problem. The location is fantastic, just a five minute walk to Plaza Mayor, and there is a supermarket right below the apartment. Even better everything we needed was provided, the shampoo, shower gel and hairdryer were particularly useful seeing as the airline lost our luggage! Overall, perfect hosts who could not have been more accommodating. Pablo and Belén are clearly very passionate about making sure their guests know where to visit, eat and drink. Although I know the city, we did take some recommendations and loved discovering new places. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay in this apartment again.

On November 1st for three nights we had the great good fortune to book with hosts Pablo and Belen's airbnb in Salamanca Spain. It was such an amazing experience. We will be back for sure! The condo is very well-located being only a 7-minute walk to the heart of Salamanca i.e. the Plaza Mayor where one can enjoy a coffee, a cocktail, tapas or a complete meal along with great people watching. The condo is very clean, very silent, very pretty, very cozy with a complete new Ikea kitchen, fully-equipped with everything one needs even a Nespresso coffee-maker! to make one feel at home. Thick fluffy towels and good-quality linens show further attention to details to make their guests feel valued and special. Pablo showed us a map with so very many points of interest - everything from where to get a good hamburger to where to get genuine Spanish hot chocolate with freshly-baked churros. Probably most importantly Pablo helped my Mom who had lost her passport in Madrid. He took her to file a police report, obtain new photos and even travel with her to Madrid, to the Canadian Embassy to obtain new travel documents. We've stayed in many Airbnb's in our time and this one was by far the most memorable. Their generosity to be so helpful to my mother in her time of need, I'll never forget this and made our trip so wonderful. Thank you Pablo and Belen!

Chalo, David and Carrie: to have met you was a real pleasure indeed, an experience we enjoyed even with the steal of the passport because that gave us the occasion of being to great help to you, something you deserved. We would like to see you again, and I think we will do it, but in any case, we wish you the best for you all

The apartment was nice and cosy. In the pictures you think that apartment is little bit bigger than it actually is. Pablo and Belen were very friendly before arriving in Salamanca and also in Salamanca.

Belén is an english teacher, and enjoys giving advice about Salamanca, as well as I, Pablo, who speak english, french and german, and have studied tourism. I have
spent more than two months in different Refuges along the Saint James' Way, helping pilgrims as a volunteer to feel at ease and to rest. We would both be delighted helping you enjoy your stay in Salamanca.
