Interaction with guests
We welcome you cordially, and we give you the advices we find more suitable for you, to make you enjoy your stay in Salamanca, being the Tourist Office (Oficina de Turismo) in the Plaza Mayor (Main Square) for any additional information. We would ask you please to sign the entrance sheet with the information the administration requires (passport...). We will be at your disposal by mail, telephone, , and the AIrbnb web, in case of doubts or problems. We would only be present at the apartment with your prior authorization.
What we love about our area is : - we consider it centrally located (7 minutes on foot to Plaza Mayor) – that it is comercial (it has plenty of different business around) – that it is quiet and safe, with people on the street even late (other areas are too lonely) – even if there is ambiance on the area day and night, the apartment is very silent and bright due to its orientation.
If you come by car, it is possible to let it in a spacious parking space, for 11 euros/day (optional, it´s five minutes walking from the apartment). To unload and load the baggage, you can let the car the indispensable time close to the entrance door (we are in a blue zone). The closest taxi rank, Puerta de Zamora, is one minute walking. The coach station is twenty minutes away. The train station is twenty minutes away (Vialia), or ten minutes (halt of La Alamedilla).
Other things to note
Just one minute walking and you will find Calle Zamora (Zamora Street), one of the main pedestrian areas in the city. You will be able to begin your sightseeing route visiting the original San Marcos church, with its circular ground plan and Romanesque style. Then, you can go all over Zamora Street where you will find beautiful buildings, shops and cafés until you get to the Main Square.
We strongly recommend to visit the church of the Jesuits (“Clerecía”, with the climbing to its tower “Scala Coeli”), and the Old and New Cathedral, with the climbing to their tower, “Ieronimus”; the University; the Art Nouveau and Art Déco Museum (Casa Lis); the “Huerto de Calixto y Melibea”, the “Monastery of Saint-Esteban
As for the churches, we recommend to visit la “Iglesia de Santa María Magdalena” (a few meters from the “Iglesia de San Marcos”, at the Calle Zamora too, a little more away on the right side, towards Plaza Mayor), and the “Iglesia de la Purísima” (it is the first church I have visited where the paintings were done before the church, being the walls the frame of the paintings).
If you have still time, there are other monuments, like the “Convento (convent) de las Dueñas”, the “Convento de Santa Clara”, …
Apart of the many attractions in Salamanca, we recommend you to visit La Alberca, Miranda del Castañar, San Martín del Castañar, Mogarraz (with its Water Route too), Candelario, Hervás, Ciudad-Rodrigo…
The entry as a rule will be from 4pm on, but if it were free, it would be possible to do the check-in before (Please consult with us) It is neither allowed to smoke, nor to bring pets, nor to use it for parties or celebrationsIf you are not at the apartment, or if the weather is bad, windows should be shutThe check-out will be before 12 am but if there aren´t any guests coming in that day it will be possible to leave later Cleaning is included in the price, but the apartment must be tidy and rubbish must be taken out before leaving
We hope our guests behave as they were in their own house, doing a normal use of it and respecting the neighbours and avoiding making noise at night
Any cost due to not respecting these rules or advices will be on your charge.

Belén is an english teacher, and enjoys giving advice about Salamanca, as well as I, Pablo, who speak english, french and german, and have studied tourism. I have
spent more than two months in different Refuges along the Saint James' Way, helping pilgrims as a volunteer to feel at ease and to rest. We would both be delighted helping you enjoy your stay in Salamanca.
