Comfortable home in quiet suburb

House - Private room · Cooper Street, Essendon, VIC 3040, Australia

The Space

Comfortable secure family home in popular suburb of Melbourne. Close to Keilor Road, lots of cafes and restaurants, public transport close by and on the correct side of the city for the airport.

Tram stop is 200 metre walk and train station is a 10 minute walk with a 30 minute ride to the CBD.

There is a terrific park across the road with sports fields; so plenty of green space for your morning jog or evening stroll. We are also members of our tennis club with courts only 100 metres away if you want to have a game of tennis!

The house is cosy, modern and very comfortable for two. There are four adults living here - myself and my husband and our two adult daughters. We have ducted heating for Melbourne winters and evaporative cooling available for summer. The bedroom has a queen bed and we have comfortable bedding for the couch if required. We can also make available a double airbed.

The kitchen is fully appointed for when you want to cook for yourself AND there is a coffee machine.

The house has a lovely outdoor entertaining area for summer barbecues and is ideal for enjoying breakfast in the sunshine.

Melbourne is very multicultural and generally safe. We are located on the northern edge of the city neighbouring Moonee Ponds and close to Carlton, Fitzroy, Coburg and Brunswick. It is a very friendly suburb and is only 10 kms from the CBD

    November 2013
  • Returned for our last two days before flying out. Friendly welcome from Steve and Carol as before. They are well placed for Melbourne International. The house was rather busy this time with additional family guests for the single bathroom, but we all coped.

    October 2013
  • Very friendly welcome from Carol and Steve, and enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. Room nicely prepared and comfortable. We look forward to returning at the end of the month for a couple of days prior to flying out. House nicely situated about 15 minutes or so from the airport at Tullamarine so was good from both arrival and departure purposes from Melbourne's main airport.

    September 2013
  • We arrived tired and later from the airport and Carol was a delightful host and her and her husband and family immediately made us feel at home even though it was Father's day! Spacious and practical, we remain grateful for Carol helping us at such short notice. Highly recommended.
