Thanks for your awesome review:). So glad you enjoyed staying in the Hayloft:) The Hayloft is a great place for creating, painting, music as it is so private and the views so inspiring:). Out walking today and noticed spring has sprung despite the recent snow flurries). Daffodils in bloom and many birds singing as they go about their work of nest building:). Reminds me of all the work we have ahead of us too and the fun too we will have this summer:)

Thanks for your awesome review of the Rustic room:). As you know we are on 80 acres. Our nearest neighbor is almost a mile way so you have privacy here that is almost impossible to find anymore:). When you come back you might want to take tour of our neighborhood walking or biking are both great fun:)

I had an excellent stay. She had amazing local recommendations. Unfortunately, I was here for work and couldn't take advantage of them

We agree with Walt Whitman's observation: “After you have exhausted what there is in business, politics, conviviality, love, and so on — have found that none of these finally satisfy, or permanently wear — what remains? Nature remains; to bring out from their torpid recesses, the affinities of a man or woman with the open air, the trees, fields, the changes of seasons — the sun by day and the stars of heaven by night.”

Sue was a great host. Very flexible with my late check in time/arrival. Welcomed me and my dog to her home with open arms. My only set back is I could t stay longer.

Hi Lynn, You stayed in our Studio apartment and so glad you had a good time. Bike riding down country roads is pure joy and we're glad you got to experience that.:) Staying over on a Monday night is a great idea as you saved at least 50%:). Thanks again, Sue and Dave

As we Aprill 22- Earth Day (&my B.day)- approaches I am blown away again by Racheal Carson's in courageous 1953 protest letter and observation that "The real wealth of the Nation, lies in the resources of the earth — soil, water, forests, minerals, and wildlife… Their administration is not properly, and cannot be, a matter of politics.” Carson’s legacy inspired the creation of Earth Day and the founding of the Environmental Protection Agency, whose hard-won environmental regulations are now in peril.

This was my first air BnB and it was fantastic. It was nice quote and peaceful. I enjoyed the view every morning and the cup a coffee. I loved that my dog was able to join me and we both had a blast. :)

Hi, Thanks for your awesome review of our Hayloft Retreat. You brought your adorable puppy and went to Rehobth to check out the dog friendly restaurants. As you know there are over 30!! The neares pet friendly beach is just 17 miles from us. Folks often miss it- maybe because its name is a bit disturbing- "Slaughter Beach" or because its so small-only 1.3 miles. Just how it got its name is unknown but There are at least three stories of where the town's name came from: The first is that it was named after William Slaughter, a local postmaster in the mid-19th century. The second story claims “the name came from the horseshoe crabs that wash up on shore and die each year. They come near shore to shallow water to lay their eggs and the low tide strands them leaving them to die, thus the "slaughter.""[citation needed] The third story, and the most contested source of the town's name, stems from a local legend which tells of a man named Brabant who, in the mid-18th century, "slaughtered" several indigenous inhabitants by cannon in order to prevent an impending massacre.[1][2]
