The Space

Great Location! Nice price! Cozy and quiet place! 5 minute from the Subway station and Bus stop.

Do you want to stay at most cozy place in the middle of Itaewon?

Super near nice international restaurant, bar and club.
Even though very quite and safe at night time.
Easy to access Subway station and Bus stop.
Can get any place in Seoul in 30 min.

If you looking like that place, my Guest House will satisfy you.

You can use
- comfortable bedroom include a bathroom
(shower, hotwater 24/hours)
- A brand new air-conditioning
- Nice Heating floor system
- A kitchen with cooking facilities
- A fridge, TV, Hair Dryer
- Free High speed Wi-fi.
- Free Washing Machine
- Sheets and towels.

Our neighborhood is quiet and absolutely safe. so you can rest in peace.

※ You need to share kitchen and bathroom with 202 / Room 1. But just 2 rooms share that. so not big problem, in my think.

Addition) This room has also good heating system. so You don't need worry about the cold weather.

ITAEWON : The Global Community in Seoul: Global Fashions and Foods
Itaewon is a unique place in Seoul where one can meet people of diverse nationalities and cultures. There is a popular joke saying that international residents may not know Seoul, but they know Itaewon. Seoul even designated Itaewon as its first ‘Special Tourism District,’ to highlight it as a destination for internationals to enjoy a diversity of culture, shopping, and entertainment experiences.

Itaewon is in the middle of Yongsan-gu, which borders the northern part of the Hangang River. It is also close to Seoul Station, Myeong-dong, and Namsan Mountain. The formation of this exotic and global tourism site is closely associated with modern Korean history.

In the aftermath of the Korean War, American soldiers began to stay in the Yongsan Garrison and, consequently, numerous businesses and housing complexes were formed in Yongsan. In preparation for international meetings, the Seoul Asian and Olympic Games, the government strengthened tourism infrastructures and revitalized commerce, prompting international tourists from other parts of the world (such as Japan, Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, etc.) to visit Itaewon.

Itaewon typically refers to the street full of stores, restaurants, and stalls over 1.4 kilometers between Itaewon 1-dong and Hannam 2-dong in the east. Fashion shops specialize in various imported clothes, leather goods, fur goods, handbags, shoes, and antique furniture. Big and tall sizes unavailable in other areas are well-stocked, and experienced tailors offer customized clothes.

Another one of Itaewon’s many draws is its diverse food culture, which features cuisine from around world. Restaurants right behind Hamilton Hotel form a type of exhibition hall for international foods from Korea, New York, London, India, Thailand, China, Greece, Pakistan, Italy, France, Mexico, Australia, and more. Unique flavors, exotic interiors, and diverse nationalities help to make Itaewon befittingly ‘the global village in Seoul.

  • Communication with Youngjin before we arrived went smoothly and he answered all questions we had. When we arrived, his grandma checked us in. She doesn't seem to speak much English but she seems like the sweetest lady and showed us around the place. The place is extremely convenient and close to the itaewon subway (about a five minute walk). I was a bit worried from precious reviews that the hill would be terrible, but it was fine. Perhaps not a hill I would do in heels, but nothing I couldn't handle even with my heavy luggage. The room and bathroom was very clean. There was a kitchen, fridge, microwave, hot water boiler, and washer. Note that you're sharing the entranceway with three other rooms and the bathroom with one other room! The location is superb. A street away from the busy nightlight so it's quiet when you sleep but close enough for a nightcap after subways close. Perhaps it isn't the best location for the traditional Korean experience since expats and international people congregate in Itaewon, but it's still extremely convenient and a great place to stay!!!

  • My wife and I could easily locate the place using the map and guide given by Youngjin in his blog. The apartment was steeply up the hill and you are going to get really exhausted carrying big luggage. There was no much view from our room, just the back of another apartment. Basic equipment like iron and rice cooker are only available upon request. The kitchen had basic utensils like pot, saucer, cup and cutleries. We cooked simple dishes. No oil and salt provided so I bought a pack of salt and left the balance there. Feel free to use it =) The apartment was manned by Youngjin's grandparents. The granny was a really nice old lady and we liked her. She was an earlybird like us. Unfortunately, she did not understand english at all. So, all requests were made through Youngjin via email or using sign language (giggles). The bathroom is clean and long, I simply like it! The neighborhood was serene & quiet. We slept well at night. We did not stay much at the room only at night. So, comfort was the second thing for us. We left the house without any chance to meet Youngjin, the host. Overall, the room was a quite nice place to crash and I surely recommend it!

  • The room is clean and cozy with big bathroom and kitchen utensil, although it is on the hill and the place is difficult to find. But we are luck because there is service persons beside the subway station and they help us make a call. Thus, Victor pick us up. It is only 5 minutes to the subway station. Good place for the price.

  • Great place! There is also an aircon unit in there (which is missing in the photos). Short walk up a slight hill getting there from metro (so good exercise) but in a great location in Itaewon. Clear directions of how to get there (incl photos) were really helpful! Hosts are really friendly, Place was clean and tidy and quiet. Not too hot, not to cold. Easy to get around from and lots of great places to eat (and shop) close by (incl a little crêperie). Highly recommend staying there, and if we head back would def stay there again!

  • Room was clean, cosy and comfy! love the clean bed sheets they provide. Youngjin's grandparents are kindly and caring ways made the stay so much at home. Located just a short Distance from the subway, with pubs and restaurants just a three minute walk away. Be prepared for an uphill climb!

  • Small cozy place in Itaewon. If you are craving american food there is plenty in the area. The subway station is about 5 mins away (walk). Youngjin's grandparents were such a cute couple and so kind and helpful. The steep climp that previous reviewers mentioned is not that bad of a walk either. For the price that we paid I'm pretty satisfied.

  • Very friendly and warm family! Definitly a good choice to stay at their appartment if you are looking for a private typical korean stay( altough the area is very international, many foreign people and food). Subway is very near and convenient. Even tough nog everyone in the family speaks english, it still is very easy to communicate with them. With any question we had, they helped us and very flexible.

  • The location was excellent, very convenient and near Itaewon station. The house was warmly heated and had all the needed facilities - speedy wifi, hot showers, toiletries and towels, even a daily laundry service!
YJ and his grandparents were v hospitable and helpful with helping us get to the airport as well (:
The only downside would be that sometimes neighbours in the same aptment can be v inconsiderate - hogging dishes and dirtying the toilets (but it's not their fault)
Would definitely stay here again when I go back to Seoul! (:
