  • After some miscommunication at the start, we arranged for me to walk 3 blocks with luggage to the host's address. He offered to drive me to the apt. and explained the ins and outs of the building and unit.
I thought the building including parking garage and lobby were quite nice and well kept. The unit was just as shown on website.
The laundry was still in process, so I watched the dryer (located in bathroom) and put the clean towels and duvet cover in place. I also took an extra cover and fitted sheet out of washer and finished the process.
Dishes were clean but not pit away and I felt the place needed dusting to remove hair and dust.
The view from unit was great and both road bikes were in hung in a room off the lobby.
I walked or rode Max easily!

    Response from Adams:

I take great effort to clean the entire apt. I wash all bedding, dust, sanitize the bathroom, handle trash, clean and swiffer the floor. You can count on the apt being clean upon your arrival.

  • We visited Portland to go to the Cher concert at MODA center which was right next door to the apartment. The apartment itself was exactly as pictured, and was the perfect place to stay for our trip. Would highly recommend.

  • This apartment is located conveniently near the Max which is great. The place has all of the basics you need for a Portland stay - including laundry. Having a car is a little challenging because parking meters run fro 8 am - 10 PM but we managed anyway. There are bikes available and that, along with public transportation, is the way to go. This would be a great place to stay after seeing a show at the Moda Center which is within walking distance. Good, basic, clean, and convenient place.

  • This was a great apartment for our Portland visit. Adam was very easy to communicate with and checked in with us once we arrived. Easy to get into downtown Portland via a short walk over the bridge.

  • Adams was a very cool, chill host. He was accommodating and helpful, even giving my girlfriend and I a ride to the location after we arrived in town. I would highly recommend staying at his beautiful studio next time you're in Portland, it will enhance the trip greatly.

  • We arrived within the timeframe agreed and called our host to let him know. He told us he was 'running errands' and would be 45 minutes late. We were happy to wait for his arrival as we'd left a wide window (between 12 and 2pm). We waited for 2 hours outside his building before our resident Portland friends turned up to rendezvous. We had advised the owner that we had no cell access prior. Our friend called and he sent someone round with the key. The apartment was clean, as advertised and well appointed but the whole hanging around for 2 hours to get the keys has soured our experience.

  • These guys were great hosts and made me feel like I was part of their Portland community of friends as soon as I walked in. Thanks for welcoming me, and for giving me a comfortable base for a successful trip. The space is great, and I loved the view of downtown Portland. I really appreciated having all the comforts of home - plenty of hot water, laundry, full kitchen, comfy bed, fast wifi.

  • Adams was a great host. Met us at the train station to drop off the keys, gave some great local recommendations, let us use his bike, so we saved money on the rental!

The location of the apartment was great! It is a little bit isolated, in that you can't just walk out the door to get a cup of coffee or a bite to eat, but the MAX is a couple hundred yards away and you can take that all around the city. It was an extremely convenient location for us to stay and see the entire city. The apartment was pretty much what you see in the pictures. It didn't seem like it had been prepped for a guest, though. We had to dig through the cabinets to find clean towels and the sheet for the bed, and it was pretty dusty. The bed was really squeaky but I never said anything about it, and Adams had no problem fixing it after we left (I guess that was my fault for not letting him know when we first arrived).

Overall, I would recommend the place. It was a very convenient location, the price was great, and still better than a hotel!

  • There was some initial confusion over my arrival date and who I should contact–Adams or Rick–but once I arrived I was met promptly and given access. As with some AirBNB experiences, the cleaning people hadn’t quite gotten it together and the apartment was a little “lived-in,” but wasn’t really that big a deal for me.

Despite that initial impression, the apartment was great. It was in a very convenient location and served me well as a home base while I wandered the city.

If you have some time I highly recommend hopping on the MAX westbound and seeking out Tasty & Alder and the Multnomah Whiskey Library near the Galleria/SW 10th stop.

  • Great location! Apartment was secure, clean, & comfortable for two people. Easy access to anywhere you would want to go to in Portland. MAX & busses were a stone's throw away. Chinatown, Saturday Market & Pearl are all walkable if you enjoy exploring the area when you travel. I'd stay there again if I ever went back to Portland.
