The room comes up to be to be 134.50 after you pay for the cleaning fee and the air bnb fee not 95.00. Room was ok there are no amenities just the room. They say there is a pool but in the main house and they are very selective on who can use it. Not everyone is allowed to use the amenities.
We saw the host once when we first arrived. And, never again even when we checked out. We had to call him to let him know that we were checking out.
There is coffee maker in room but no coffee available for it. Location is very close to sedona and the state parks. Location of the property is A+.
My days in the writers room were absolutely wonderful! I love this place and I will never forget having my morning coffe sitting in this beautiful nature surrounding this characterfull room! Neil was very friendly and helpful too! The contact with Terri easy and also very friendly! Thank you so much! :)
My husband and I stayed at the Writer's for four nights and had the best time. Neil was there to greet us and provide useful tips. The room is just perfect for two people, has a spaceous bathroom with everything you might need. The general area is beautiful, residential, very quiet, perfect for observing the starry sky. Nice walk or short drive to all the shops and restaurants, and the property is sitting right next to the Airport Loop Trail, which provides a 360 view of all the beautiful rock formations (be prepared for a lengthy hike). Overall wonderful, planning to make this an annual trip!
I felt welcome from the first communication. I love, love, love this property and location and I didn't want to leave. Neil was an added bonus. I got to go home with one of his beautiful etchings. I am so happy i found this listing. I've already promoted it to friends. Would like to think i'll be back next year.
The only thing i wanted and didn't bring with me was a hair dryer.
The experience was fantastic! All communication was delivered in a timely fashion clearly and precisely. I arrived at night but because of good signage and landscape lighting I found my way to my room easily. The room was clean and comfortable with an adequate supply of hot water for the shower. There was superb wifi and cell phone reception. The caretaker was on the premise but out of site and assisted me at my request via phone with turning on the jets on the hot tub. He was courteous and polite.
The hiking trail behind the house to the Airport Vortex as accessible and supplied beautiful views. The parking was plentiful and the grounds and gardens beautiful to enjoy.
I highly recommend Red Rock Ranch. Thank you!
This is an excellent, quiet location that is close to town but it feels more remote. There is a short hiking path out back that leads right up to Airport Vortex which is quite a view. We took our morning coffee up there! It isn't a large room but holds two comfortably and Neil was there, helpful and available if you need anything. Our visit was primarily to enjoy the outdoors and go on hikes so this was a good fit for us. If you are the sort who wants to really enjoy and stay in your room though, remember there is no TV or radio, and there are just two chairs in there and not many lights. A bit of a drawback- the outlets are also not well placed if you have a lot of electronics to charge or use. Some outlets don't work without leaving the room light switch on - in order to use the space heater at night we had to get on a chair and unscrew the room light bulb, so you'll manage if you're resourceful. There's also no where to plug in the coffee pot except to brew on the floor in front of the mini-fridge. I'm just mentioning the electric since it was a bit complicated, but for us all went well on our stay and we enjoyed it very much.
