Have fun respecting others and nature.
Beautiful and well situated in the heart of Tulum's main attractions. Comfortable cabanas with spacious common areas, clean shared kitchen and bathrooms/showers. Very eco- conscious so no power/electricity before dusk and after midnight which was a bit unexpected but manageable. Access to private cenote was a plus. Other than the confusion with booking of double room and arriving to a single, Andrea and Carlos were very friendly and helpful in making the best of the situation.
Nice rustic cabañas near the entrance to sian kian reserve. The beach is nice and across the street, the cenote behind is a treasure as well. Bugs weren't too bad and the staff was nice and in good spirits.
We used the kitchen often which was a big plus considering how expensive it is to eat anything in the zona hotelera. Nice place.
My family and I stayed for 9 days in the Cabana's. The atmosphere was very peaceful, relaxed, and natural. We had no problem checking in when we arrived. The staff at the Cabana's were very helpful and we fell in love with them. The beach was just across the street, and the Cabana's are situated right next to the Sian Kaan Biosphere. The Cabana and beds were clean and had no problems with bugs or critters. All shared facilities such as the kitchen, eating area, living room, bathrooms, and showers were clean and nice.
The cenote/mangrove behind the cabanas was a lot of fun, we snorkeled and kyaked during our stay. We will miss this place and everyone we met there!
It seems strange post recommendation because the stay never gave since you had an overbooked that night, I had to stay at another place also lied to me all afternoon when I call to confirm and ask for directions to why not I heard about the problem until the moment I arrived at the door of your beautiful lodge. I think you need to check many of the logistical problems that have to follow him not lying to customers.
My sister and I had an amazing stay at Jose Eduardo's jungle cabanas, the only downside to our stay is that we were only there for two nights. The cabana and beds were clean and bug and critter free. All the shared areas (kitchen, showers, facilities, eating area and living space) were all very clean as well. The beach right across the street was absolutely beautiful! The cenote behind the cabanas was also nice to kayak. This was a great experience and we will definitely be back soon. If you're considering Tulum this is a really great and unique place to stay. Thanks for the amazing stay!
All in all a great place for the budget traveler. It was clean, comfortable, and friendly. The open air cabana let in a wonderful breeze that made sleeping at night very comfortable. The people staying there were all friendly and the atmosphere is warm. It was great to be able to use the kitchen to cook a few of our own meals and save some money as Tulum has become absurdly expensive.
A few items of note. Because of the location next to the cenote (feels more like a river or pond really) the mosquitos are bad in the late afternoon/evening, so bring repellant.
We had a scary critter (and i'm not particularly squeamish) in our cabana one night which the manager took care of very efficiently. The same thing happened the second night though, and there wasn't a soul in sight, so I had to take care of it myself, which was fairly unpleasant.
The place is located at the end of the hotel "strip" almost all the way to the entrance of the Sian Kaan Biosphere, on the right hand side. The sign says XBalamque.
Overall we had a nice stay in Tulum!
Had we read the description properly, we would have known that reception closes at 2pm and that the cabins were not on the beach. So on arrival we were quite disappointed. But other people staying at the place were kind and showed us to some cabins.
There is a private access to the beach, wifi during the afternoon, a nice outdoor living room and lots of other people if you want to interact.
As for all hotels in this area electricity comes from a generator, so you might want to make sure you get a cabin that is not too close to it.
As I said, it was a nice stay with lots of nice people and I don't think you can get anything better for the price in that location! We will definitely come back here next time we come to Tulum!

I love Music, I love to sing, play the guitar and invite my friends to sing along with me. Im a fresh food fan and I think I know the best restaurants in Cancun, and they´re not necessarily the expensive ones.
I´m a proud Mexican and I love Mexico´s History.
I deeply respect and enjoy nature and animals.
I would like my guests to think of me as an easygoing, down to earth, Bohemian kind of guy.
I don´t really have a life motto in particular but if I had one it would be something like: Share Love and respect everyone.
