The space
The guesthouse is perfectly setup for your coastal adventures. It is located in the very quiet and scenic Lodge Hill neighborhood, a short walk from breathtaking ocean views and neighborhood beach access. There are so many things to do nearby: antiquing in charming downtown Cambria, walk the Moonstone beach boardwalk, go wine tasting at local wineries, visit Hearst Castle, and view the elephant seals.

This detached guest house offers the complete independence and privacy you want for a month-long stay. The space features comfortable, modern furnishings, beautiful natural light, and a peaceful ambiance that makes it easy to unwind after a day of exploring or working.

For those looking to work remotely this summer, the guest house provides a quiet, focused environment seamlessly supported by high-speed Wi-Fi—perfect for taking video calls or wrapping up projects with a cool coastal breeze coming through the window.


We have designed this space so you can effortlessly live like a local for a month or more.

The fully equipped kitchenette with all the essentials to prepare light meals, morning coffee, and quick dinners during your stay. Small appliances include: mini fridge, toaster oven, hot pate, crock pot, electric kettle, and coffee maker. The cabinets are stocked with everything you need to prepare simple meals and outside on the patio is a gas BBQ.

Off the main room is a beautifully appointed bedroom, setup with high-quality linens and blackout shades to ensure a restful night's sleep. The bedroom features ample storage space so you and your pet can fully unpack and make the space truly feel like home.

Step outside into the quiet, scenic neighborhood where you and your pup are just a short walk away from breathtaking ocean views and local beach access.

Guest access
You’ll have the entire detached guest house to yourself. The main house may be occupied during your stay. The driveway and patio are the only shared spaces.

Other things to note
Minimum rental of 31 nights. You do not need to occupy the property for the full time. When you make your stay more than 30 days there is no longer a county vacation home tax.

We do not have air conditioning as it is never warm enough to need it at the beach. Open the windows and enjoy the fresh ocean air.

Please bring your own beach supplies. We have provided towels and bedding for your use in the guest house. Please do not take towels from the house to the beach.

AT&T does not have reliable reception in Cambria. We have WiFi that supports WiFi calling at the house.

Neighborhood highlights

Lodge Hill neighborhood is located in between two nature preserves. One of which has miles of well maintained walking trails with breathtaking ocean views. Wild turkeys and deer frequently stroll through the streets. The neighborhood also has three public beach access points. Downtown Cambria is a few miles away by car or on foot through the nature preserve if you enjoy walking.

My husband and I have been traveling together since we met, 20 years ago. We love being active and being outdoors, our favorite thing to do is find a new hiking spot wherever we go, or walk the city we are staying in. We truly enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. We love our quiet beach house and enjoy sharing it with others when we can’t use it ourselves.
