What I LIKE
1. The location is awesome. Very convenient, close to subway, and street vendors at the night.
2. Since our flight was at the night, we put our luggage to the security office, so we could enjoy our last day without carry them around.
3. Jenn reposed every e-mails very quickly.
What I DON'T
1. We stayed for 4 nights, and the first 2 nights the air-con was OUT OF ORDER. It was very muggy at the apt. even thought Jenn brought a fan to us.
2. The toilet was shaky. Every time we used it, we had to be very careful.
Over all, it was a good experience.
The apartment building has a minimart on the first floor and is right next to ibis ambassador hotel insadong, easy to locate via instructions sent by jenn prior to check-in or by (website hidden) maps.
Apartment looked relatively clean at first sight, but upon some shifting of some furniture to make space for luggages, observed that areas not easily seen were not cleaned. There was also remnants of food caught in the mesh of the sink, bits of egg shells in the fridge, and water in the toilet rubbish bin. Bins were not lined with bags, and standard garbage bags for throwing out of garbage as required were not provided until 2 days after check in, which was when the cleaner was supposed to be dropping by (not sure if room was cleaned then as the room didn't look any cleaner than how we left it).
Washing machine was of great convenience; even though there was no dryer, a clothes rack was provided and our laundry was air dried within a day.
Great location between jongno3ga and anguk metro stations. Within walking distance to insadong, bukchon, the palaces etc, would recommend if not too particular about cleanliness and room size.
Jennie's place is in a great location, very close transport and major interesting sites. She always responds promptly to my queries and requests for help.
Jenn's place was fairly easy to find as she had given us instructions on how to reach the apartment. The bed was comfortable and kitchen was equipped. However the photos on Airbnb must be from when the place was still new/refurbished because it wasn't as clean as we were expecting. There was dust on the floor, mirror, skid marks on the tiles where you leave your shoes. The kitchen sink was also not clean and had noodles clogged up from previous guest who stayed. To be honest it didn't look like anyone had clean the apartment up before our stay which was a shame. If you're looking for a budget accom then I guess this place is quite cheap for a short stay, but do not expect it to be clean as the photographs. The area itself was a short distance walk to Myeongdong and restaurants.
Jenn was so accommodating and nice! Her apartment was clean, neat and well provided with the essentials. She also provided light snacks in the room which was really helpful when we're hungry and too lazy to go down :p There's a 24hr shop at ground floor. The building is near the subway and the famous Insadong. It's also a walking distance to a few attractions such as Bukchon Village. We truly enjoyed our stay there and will definitely stay there again if we ever go Korea. :)
Stay in jenn's flat for 4 days. Was brilliant. Nice flat, tidy, clean. And Jen provided some extra benefits with breakfast and drinks. Definitely recommended !
It was a comfortable stay at Jenn's place. The apartment is probably a bit small to our thought, I would advise to carry medium or small size luggage else there would be challenge to find space for big bags. Overall it is clean and well equipped with all the essential stuffs, it is just nice a place to get good rest after a full day touring. The simple breakfast provided by Jenn is also a very warm welcoming and I love the cereals ;)
It is an easy and short walk from the subway, and we felt safe with the area even walking back at late night. The location is very centralize to a lot of attractions. We actually walked to Myeongdong, Gwangjang market, Changdeokgung, Bosingak, Tapgol park .. and Insadong is actually just directly across the main road.
Jenn's has been a nice host buy giving us the instructions on how to get there, and washing machine program translation over email few days before. It will be more helpful if there is an in-room heater and bigger bath towel for winter time, and instruction on how to operate the digital key lock (we had many try with the lock before we managed to figure it out).
Jenn's residence is relatively easy to find. We took the limousine bus from the airport and it was just 8 mins walk from Jongno 3-ga bus station. The metro station is close by, very convenient. However, we did run into issues on every night of our stay when we tried to get taxis to take us back to the place. It seems that if the taxi driver doesn't know where it is, they don't want your business. I would suggest printing off a map (in Korean!) in order to show the taxi driver where the place is in relation to Jongmyo and Changdeokgung. On some nights we had to ask 10+ taxis before we got one that would take us. All in all, Jenn's residence was a very comfortable stay and I would recommend it.
The host Jennifer is wonderful. My friend and I stayed 6 nights in her apartment and we love it. The location is superb! 5 mins from subway and 5-10mins from Insadong!! She was attentive to our needs. We requested for extension at the very last minute. Not only was she fast in her responses, she also helped to ensure that the request was done!! What's more, breakfast was also provided!!! Although the apartment was compact, but you can find everything you need in the house!! I will definitely recommend my friends or anyone visiting Seoul to stay at her apartment!!
