"It's a museum!" a common observation by guests to Casa de Colores. My new home displays my world treasures in new and exciting ways. The Old World room and the Folk Art room will charm and enchant you.
A house of many colors and cultures greets you as you enter this new home. Rent one or two bedrooms (queen or twins) for football games, graduations, parent's weekends or just for fun. A private full bath is just across the hall. Need a ride to your event? Just ask! We'll drop you off and pick you up to avoid the parking. $100/night (for one person) for either room. For each guest after the first one, $75 per night.
Although unassuming on the outside, the Casa is a trip around the world on the inside. Casa de Colores, is your window to primitive art and collections from China, Africa, the American Southwest, Mexico and the Middle East. The hostess is an engaging conversationalist, graphic designer and writer who can enlighten you with tales of days gone by and history lessons in Aggieland.

Interaction with Guests
I love to tell about our Aggie family history or about my world travels. But I can be very scarce if you need some solitude.
My neighborhood is very quiet, very safe, and very friendly. There is a neighborhood pool and play scape.
Parking is included.
No smoking. Pets okay with crates. BYOB and/or soft drinks. Light snacks and bottled water in the rooms. Continental breakfast available upon request.
Loved every minute I spent in Anne's home and interacting with her. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable and CLEAN! Anne is interesting, charming and we had lovely long chats. My trip was enriched by my new aquai tance with her.
Lovely home in a nice and easy to find neighborhood. Anne was very cordial and made our stay very comfortable. Her clean and cozy home is well decorated with unique items collected from various part of the world. She made us feel welcome and fascinated us with stories about her travel, décor, late husband’s major engineering accomplishment and long family history of Aggies. Safe neighborhood, beautiful home, delightful hostess. We couldn’t ask for anything more.
Awesome experience, the room was great, bed was soft and the house was immaculate. Love all the history and cultural artifacts she has. Would recommend to any and everyone.
Anne is a wonderful Host. Beautiful Home. Highly recommend this location.
Anne was an amazing host! She had a beautiful home and showed great hospitality. Anne was very helpful and wanted us to have an enjoyable time. She had juice and coffee ready when you woke up.
I highly recommend! A+
The reservation was canceled 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Since Thomas Strycker booked three weekends with me he has been very cordial. We have corresponded back and forth a few times. He seems like a genuinely nice person. He was really looking forward to the Aggie football weekend coming up this week. He contacted me today and had to cancel his reservation due to a death in the family. I can not find it in my heart to penalize him under these circumstances.
Anne was am absolutely fabulous host! She was readily available to answer any questions and was very accommodating. She is a wealth of information about College Station, her Aggies and the wonderful treasures found in her home. I felt so welcome and so secure I slept like a baby! I highly recommend Casa de Colores and look forward to returning some day soon.
I grew up in College Station, attended Texas A&M (Class of '71) and moved back a few years ago. I am interested in the history of Brazos Valley and work actively to preserve it. I am a Sr. Graphic Designer for Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. I serve on the Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial Board of Directors as Chief Information Officer. You can see some of my work at Veterans Park on the Lynn Stuart Pathway. This park is one of a kind and the pathway is a study in US military history. I designed the 22 historical interpretive panels that are all along the 1/2 mile path. I look forward to sharing some of the wonderful history of the area with you.
Most of the guests at Casa de Colores say the house is very conducive to relaxing and sleeping. So bring a travel alarm just in case!
