Interaction with Guests
I am a frequent traveler and am often on the road for work. When I am in the city, I am usually working. You won't see much of me but I am around if you need recommendations or help with your visit in NYC.
Located in Manhattan in an area known as Washington Heights, it is north of Harlem and South of Inwood. Washington Heights is one of the hidden gems of Manhattan. There is a variety of cafes, restaurants and grocers located within walking distance. The neighborhood is safe, friendly and lively. Columbian Presbyterian hospital is near by so there is a lot of doctors, researchers and young professionals in the neighborhood. Columbia University is only 2 stops away on the express train. Mixed with the Dominican population in the neighborhood, it is a colorful, energetic place, viberant without it being overly commercial. The apartment is centrally located between 2 subway lines which makes getting nearly anywhere in Manhattan easy.
•5 minute walk A,C,1 Train line
• 2 stops on the A train to Columbia University
•3 stops on the A train to Columbus Circle (15 mins)
•Close to Fort Tyron park and The Cloisters (part of the Metropolitan Museum, a hidden gem many miss)
•20-30 min Train ride nearly everywhere else in Manhattan
•Easy to get to JFK / LGA airports

It was very good memory when I live at Charlie's house！Charlie is a good host，she is very nice！The place is very convenient to take train and many market near the place. The room is very clean and the bed is big and very comfortable！I like her room and recommend this place！
This was the first time we used airbnb and Charlie was a great host. She was very welcoming and flexible. We didn't see her much during our stay and we spent most the time at columbia university medical centre which was a very convenient short walk from her apartment. We had a small hiccup with our booking as Charlie's family wanted to come visit for Christmas so our original booking had to be shortened. However airbnb compensated us for this change of plans and Charlie also helped us by maintaining the great monthly rate to keep it affordable for us. Overall the experience was good!
This was a dream Airbnb experience. The room was big, clean, and well located with a cozy bed. Charlie is a fantastic host, both friendly and generous. Making arrangements with her was easy and the apartment is quite spacious. It was the best combination of sharing space with someone great and having enough space to not feel crowded or awkward. I went to a conference at Columbia while I was there and it was easy and fast to get to. Overall, it was really great and I'll definitely be back!
Charlie is very nice, and the bed is really comfortable! Everyday we slept until 11am then go out to enjoy the New York city
The host is a jovial and beautiful mistress, who is very patient for our being late the first night. The room was clean and tidy, and the location is good with the convenient subway station .
Charlie's place is perfect with a large room (excellent bed) and all the facilities in the flat. I stayed there one month. The place is comfortable and very clean. The location is ok and close to metro to get downtown. If you had to work like me for a short period in Columbia Med School or New Presbyterian Hospital it is the place to be. Charlie is a nice person and easy to live. This was my first experience of airbnb and I will do it again.
Charlie is a great person and hostess. The stay was very warm, the place is very comfortable, and we had the help we need. The apartment is very close to the subway line and buses from there to Manhattan are 20 min. Thanks Charlie, when we return to ny we will stay again.

I am a consultant - photographer/ writer - adventure traveller - art dealer. I am on the road about 6 months out of the year for work. Given the extensive amount of time I spent on the road, I understand first hand what you need when you are in a foreign place.
