I've rented a handful of Air BnBs in the past and only had one bad experience. This one by far takes the cake for worst place I've been and I was only in the house an HOUR! Stacey was great with communication, but thats probably going to be the best quality you see during your …

Response from Stacey:
The house is exactly as pictured in the listing and maintained to the standard cleanliness seen there. The morning of Luke's arrival, the house was cleaned to the same level of cleanliness that has earned my home 4 1/2 stars in cleanliness over years of hosting. This includes dusting the entire house and scrubbing the toilet, which was sparkling clean before he arrived. He did see and send me a pic of an average sized wolf spider, which are very common in Florida and impossible to keep any from ever entering a home. They are harmless, much smaller than he describes, and I usually just move them outside if one gets in. (Side note, wolf spiders do not build webs.) The house was never sitting empty for the toiletries, water, etc to appear unused for a long period as he describes, but in fact I had another guest right before him. We had a longer conversation, and I never told him, "go back in the house, its fine," but I did reassure him that wolf spiders are harmless. He did not mention any issues with cleanliness at all until Airbnb let him know a spider is not a reason for a refund. Although I have a strict cancellation policy, I gave him a partial refund.

To be honest this is the worst experience my fiance and I have encountered with a host. We needed to be in Tampa for two weeks for chemo & radiation for my fiance's stage 4 pancreatic & liver cancer at Moffitt Cancer Hospital. Stacy's description of her property says it is in a n…

I wish I had noticed the red flag in Liz's only review so I would have known not to host her. The house was spotless on Liz's arrival. Liz and her husband spoke to my father on the phone as they had trouble figuring out how to enter their code into the front door keypad. He walked them through it and stayed on the phone with her for several minutes. They told him they were inside and that everything, "looked great." Liz knew in advance that there would be another guest there and was fine with this until meeting the other guest. He was a lovely person who had wonderful interaction with myself and my parents, extremely polite and tidy. She told me he, "presented the picture of the criminal element," so I take it she is prejudiced. She texted me to give her a call, which I did within 18 minutes. She did not answer or communicate with me but instead called Airbnb and tried to claim the listing was misclassified. Airbnb deemed that it is not and that she had no reason to receive a refund. She then left a threatening voicemail the next day that she intended retaliation for not giving her a refund and also called my father and attempted to intimidate him as well. Her claims are completely unfounded. She clearly did not even sit on the bed or she would know it is memory foam as mentioned in the listing. Sure not everyone will find memory foam mattresses their preference, but they are the softest mattresses on the market, certainly not "hard as rocks."

Thanks, Terry. It's always appreciated when guests clean after themselves. Of course the house is also always thoroughly cleaned top to bottom between each guest. =)
