For our stay, Alex was extremely helpful and friendly. We had one minor issue with the WiFi and he came over promptly on Sunday evening and fixed it. The apartment is nice, although the hallway does smell a little moldy, and as other reviews mention, the shower situation can be inconvenient. The area is convenient for those doing tourist things.
Great location and what we were looking for in an apartment. Alex is helpful and the apartment is set up to allow for self catering with condiments, plenty of utensils and dishwasher. If you are used to staying in hotels then the standard of maintenance and cleanliness is not the same. Had a good stay with our preschoolers.
Awful, Although Alex states he is cleaning it up and fixing things but that did us no good. Furniture was very dirty, Rugs in kitchen and hallway was falling apart and very dirty. One of the beds needs replaced it had thin mattress on it on metal frame the bars were bent so two people sleeping on it rolling together. We bent them back and it helped. Room smelled very musty. The walls had water spots on them. Last two days of our stay the hot water heater quit. We called Alex he did not answer for two days after we left. He had given us a name and # for the person who takes care of the place but it was a wrong #. When he did email us back he said we should of been more persistent, I don't know what else he wanted us to do. The floor had cracks in it and had some wood frame in middle of it that came off so nails were sticking up. The refrigerator had no front cover. The only good thing about the place was the location.
Hi we stayed from the 13 to 20 /2013 of August. THere were six of us however this apt. is really only for 4 people. The rest need to sleep on floor on inflatable mattress by kitchen in living room. Only has one bathroom with a tub (no curtain) so if you want to take a standing shower you better be skinny and tall because is very very small and floor a bit slippery. The shower is in one of the rooms without a sink or toilet just a small space to stand. Very uncomfortable. Apt has only one toilet but two sinks. The refrigerator in the kitchen is very small. In general the apt was not very clean. ALex was very nice only emailed and talked to him on the phone. He is there to help if you need anything. The apt is close to VIctoria station (10 min walking). It is a great location but apto needs some work.
This is a great little flat close to everything there is to see and do in London. Alex was so very accommodating to our needs before and during our stay. This flat gave us everything that were looking for during our stay in London. Fabulous time.
A very comfortable flat located within a few blocks of Victoria Station. Many shops and pubs within a easy walk. It could not have been more convenient. However, what really set it apart was Alex. Even though he was traveling and we did not meet him in person, Alex went out of his way to contact us with lots of great information and made sure that we had a local contact to work with if any issues arose. He even emailed us the week before we arrived to tell us about a show he had just seen the night before and wanted to recommend to us. Our only disappointment was that we did not get to meet him face to face.
Great location - very convenient to Victoria station. Alex was a great host - nothing was too difficult and a few minor repairs were attended to promptly.
We stayed at Alex's flat for 5 days recently, and we can only echo the comments of his other guests. The best things about the experience were the central location of the flat and the hospitality of Alex who went out of his way to answer all of our questions in advance of our visit and even to welcome us with a walking tour of the area and wine, chocolates and flowers. The flat is below ground level but not at all damp. The central dining, living room with kitchen alcove to the side is very convenient and was comfortable for five of us. We cooked most of our meals there, and the kitchen utensils, pans and dishes were adequate for our needs. Although in a busy area, we were not disturbed by street noise. All in all a great location for those who want to spend time in the center rather than commuting.
