About this listing
1 Private room available in my light and comfortable 2 bedroom home in Central London.
Easy (and genuine) walking distance from Buckingham Palace, The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, St. James's Park, Tate Britain and the Thames path.
Longer, but leisurely walks to Covent Garden, Sloane Square and all the delights of the South Bank. Oxford Circus and the West End just 2 tube stops away.
Pimlico is the nearest tube station, but the flat is also conveniently located for Westminster and Victoria stations. Victoria station for easy transport to Gatwick, Stanstead and Luton Airport.
The room overlooks a very quiet landscaped courtyard and has a flexible trundle bed that can be used as a single, a full-size double, or two singles. The room also has 1 small wardrobe, a TV and DVD player and a cross trainer which you are welcome to you use if you feel inspired, I never do.
Washer, no dryer, I can offer use of the drying rack
Fully equipped kitchen; oven/grill/dishwasher/toaster/kettle/fridge/microwave etc.
Bath and shower
Sheets & towels provided
Please note that check-in on weekdays is anytime after 2.30pm, but completely flexible at weekends. Check-out is completely flexible at all times as I always leave a day or two between guests.
To prevent any confusion, this room is in my home where I live, and the bathroom is shared, but I love welcoming guests and I'm happy to help you along your travels or just offer a place to sleep, whatever you prefer, but its not a private/entire flat for rent.
Not much in the way of house rules but...
1) Smoking is allowed in the sitting room, but not anywhere else in the flat
2) I prefer people to take their shoes off in the house as the tiles and carpets are beige.
London is a very soggy place, please don't drag mud through the house
3) I know the airlines are utterly fascist these days, but please bring your own toiletries, if you need something I am more than happy to oblige, but please ask.
I think thats it, just general human decency...and no stealing obviously.
