The place is clean and nice. My host was more than accommodating. She even announced some night life, the Iguazu de Concierto that was a free concert and full of cultural experience. She has been so nice and cooked my dinner. Thank you for all your kindness.
Here are my honest nuisances. 1) need a trashcan in the room 2) Internet was extremely slow and frustrating. There were two different WiFi but neither worked well. The signal and connection kept fluctuating. This may not be local. It could be the provider, I don’t know. 3) The bus service which was supposed to stop on the same street as their place stopped two streets down. The driver said they don’t stop at that street anymore because they have two incidents during the night where rocks were thrown to the bus (driver) and for their safety, they don’t stop there anymore. So I had to walk two streets down. It may be okay during the day but I will not feel safe at night. There were also some stray dogs that I did not feel comfortable. This could also be temporary, I don’t know. 4) I didn’t know that I did not have access to the kitchen. Before arriving, I bought groceries to cook. I am very selective with my diet and prefer to eat in and not eat out. She went out of her way and cooked my food for me but I felt an extreme imposition and I felt very uncomfortable. 5) Entry lights and outside lights were burned out and the inside worked and then the next day it did not work, Again, it could be the city lights, I don’t know. 6) Front gate hard to open, need adjustment 7) Be careful with the hot water. The water flows very sporadically and if you have hot water running, it can burn you. Really I had to step out of the shower a few times because of this. 8) If you are looking for a place to get away, away from the city life, this is the place. 9) Finally, for the price/value of what I paid and received, the price is exorbitant. I saw some nice hotels in town, centrally located, with swimming pools, 3 * for about 40% less .
Andrea and her place is amazing. Good view of the river, spacious patio, friendly pets (especially Rosie the cat - miss her already!), and even a private dining experience in her soon-to-be-open restaurant with delicious, healthy food prepared by Andrea herself! Andrea is very responsive to our inquiries from the get-go. She definitely went above and beyond in helping her guests navigate through Iguazu attractions and needs (e.g. money exchange, buying us a pair of flip flop when I torn my old pair). Highly recommend her place for a complete Iguazu experience!
Andrea's home is lovely, feeling more like a jungle resort more than anything else. There's a lovely wood balcony overlooking the river nicely framed by banana palms; this is where Andrea serves the included breakfast every morning. The location is close to the town centre with a bus station just outside the front door. Andrea is also happy to assist with arranging cheaper taxis etc in the area. Even once we'd checked out and caught a bus over into Brazil, Andrea sent us suggestions for what to do in Brazil!
Andrea provides a wonderful experience at her Costa Pora apartment. The area is clean and safe, and walking outside, you get a beautiful view of the river. You feel like you're in a camp hideaway.
It is convenient to get to the Iguazu falls, and she gives you in-depth instructions on how to get there, including what buses to take if you choose public transportation. We were stuck in a bind a couple of times, and each time, we messaged her via social media and she promptly responded with great instructions.
One of the highlights is her food. She includes breakfast overlooking the river. She is also in the process of opening a restaurant, and if you're lucky, she may also offer to cook some of her delicious chicken and rice for you!
I highly recommend a stay with Andrea. It made for a phenomenal experience at Iguazu Falls.
The most perfect experience!
If you want the most beautiful and genuin place ever book this place !
Andrea, the hostess, were so helpful and lovely from the first email. She helped us with everything practical with how to plan to get out as much as possible and a good experience going to Iguazu falls. She also arranged with a driver to airport and falls for good prices well worth the pain instead of getting there by bus.
Sweet house with wonderful view over the river and she cooked us the best wok Ive had in a long time.
Thank you for a nice stay I will highly recomend anyone to stay here.
