Our sunny, top-floor apartment in a vintage walk-up on a quiet, tree-lined street provides the perfect place to fall in love with the city of Chicago! Just a block from charming Broadway and a stone's throw from bustling Boystown & Wrigley Field!
Your room is our bright and spacious master bedroom. Our spectacular vintage apartment with a modern interior has rare light exposure for a mid-block location. Awaken to streaming natural light, trees, and birds right outside of two, seven-foot windows that look out over a small neighborhood park.
A comfortable desk is available if you have work to do or want to check your email before visiting the city. We have free high-speed fiber optic wifi that works well for (website hidden) calls and even streaming movies. A curated collection of up-to-date Chicago guides, maps, and magazines are always in stock.
The bed has a new, full-sized Sealy mattress with soft and luxurious sheets, blanket, and comforter. Sheets and towels are always fresh!
Our bathroom—with ten foot ceilings and ample counter space—is shared and always tidy.
Please feel welcome to use our well-equipped kitchen—one of our favorite places in the apartment (we love to cook and exchange recipes!). We provide tea and coffee throughout your stay.
We also have a wonderful multi-lingual library spread throughout the apartment that you are free to use.
Our dining room table sits next to tall bay windows and overlooks a tree-lined street.
In-unit washer/dryer available upon request.
Our apartment is located in Lakeview East / (email hidden)ly and eclectic neighborhood full of boutiques, restaurants, and coffee shops that spill from the store fronts out onto the bustling sidewalks late into the evening.
We are just 2 blocks from Belmont Harbor, and Lakefront Trail — an 18-mile (29 km) walking and cycling path running along the coast of Lake Michigan with stunning water and panoramic city views.
For baseball fans, we are within close walking distance of the historic Wrigley Field.
Directly south is Lincoln Park, where you can walk past ponds, monuments, museums and gardens. We recommend a walk along Lake Michigan before visiting the zoo, conservatory and nature boardwalk on a sunny day.
Not far north you will find two historic neighborhoods: Uptown, with its decadent theaters and storied Green Mill Cocktail Lounge; and Andersonville, a Swedish neighborhood with quaint boutique shopping and cafes.
Our apartment received a score of 98/100 for walkability on Walkscore! You simply do not need a car here to get around.
We are an 8-minute walk from the Red, Purple, and Brown "L" (metro) lines. All three lines take you directly to the Loop (downtown). A single ride will cost $2.25 USD, but there are passes which give you unlimited access for a certain amount of time.
We are two blocks from the express buses (135, 146) that take you directly downtown along Lake Shore Drive. To nearby Lincoln Park, bus numbers 8 & 36 are excellent options, each just one block from our apartment.
There are a few parking lots nearby that charge roughly $25 for 12-24 hours. Street parking is permit-only after 6pm, except for a few streets (e.g., parts of Belmont and Hawthorne). There is no parking included with this stay.

We had a great stay at Todd and Susans. It was absolutely clean, they had a great kitchen and were super friendly. Thanks a lot guys!
Todd and Susan were great hosts. They made me feel very welcomed and at home during my stay. I really enjoyed our conversations and meeting their friends. As for the apartment, it is absolutely lovely, and the location/neighborhood is ideal. I'd definitely stay there again.
Todd and Susan were awesome. The apartment is lovely and the room was very cosy and clean and the bed was comfortable. Well located too. Hope to stay with them again. Only regret was didn't get to spend much time with them as I was working all weekend.
It was our first time using air bnb and I must say, it was a wonderful experience! Susan was a great host, recommending lots of restaurants and night spots. She made it easy to feel comfortable in her beautiful apartment. Our room was clean, just a little small but we were always out and about so it was perfect for what we needed. The shared bathroom was always clean and tidy. Definitely recommend this place!
Delightful host and hostess in trendy neighborhood with many people walking around and lots to do and places to eat in Chicago. I was offered use of entire place and not restricted to simply my room which was a good size.
Within walking distance, Taverna 750, recommended by them as a terrific restaurant, was truly marvelous. Have travelled world-wide and while, I've been to top-of-the line places to eat, can't recall one where every dish elicited such great joy. Highly recommend.
Thanks Guys! Your apartment was lovely, as was your company. Great location and great travel tips. This is the perfect place to stay for anyone wishing to visit Chicago! Cheers, Simon
This was myself & my boyfriend's first Airbnb experience and we couldn't have chosen nicer hosts. Susan and Todd were so friendly and welcoming, and made us feel right at home. We were much later than expected when arriving due to airport delays but they were so understanding, it was really appreciated.
The room was just as described and very relaxing, the location just perfect for us - in a safe and quiet street just off two fairly busy and vibrant streets - and it was the perfect location for exploring the city. Their apartment is stylish and really clean and tidy.
They were lovely to chat to and gave great recommendations for places to go in Chicago.
Highly recommended hosts - hopefully we will see them if they visit Ireland. Thanks for helping make our Chicago trip a great one!
I was visiting Chicago to search for an apartment, as I will be relocating next month. Not only was the room/apartment beautiful and clean, Todd and Susan were incredibly warm, gracious hosts who truly made me feel welcome. They went out of their way to share local knowledge, and I ended up finding an apartment in their neighbourhood! Their apartment is very conveniently located - close to restaurants, shops, the lake front and the train to downtown. Absolutely recommend staying with Todd and Susan.
Todd and Susan were unbelievably gracious and accommodating hosts. As a first-time guest, I was so impressed by the welcome chance to meet new people of their caliber, even welcoming staying up past my bed time to drink wine while enjoying a chat!
This was a great home in a very fun area of Chicago. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We had the most relaxed weekend! The hosts are very cool, all in all a great time, I would definitely stay here again.
