In addition to our Guest Room (with King size bed) we have another bedroom, directly opposite the Guest Room with a Queen size bed. Both rooms can be reserved to accommodate a maximum of 4 people. There would be an additional charge for 2nd room.
One smartly, furnished King size bedroom with private and exclusive use of modern shower, WC & bathroom, with luxury toiletries. There is an electric blanket on the bed for cooler nights and a ceiling fan to help keep the room cool. (NB there is also reverse cycle ac in the house).
In addition to the bedroom described above, we can also offer an additional bedroom with a Queen size bed - the 2 rooms may be booked by 2 couples or perhaps a family of 2 adults and 2 children.
Truly peaceful with only the sound of local bird life to wake up to.
Guests may with prior arrangement have access to outdoor area eg the Jacuzzi with private deck, BBQ on the main rear deck, the kitchen for preparing meals & the upper rear deck for breakfasting or an aperitif before dinner.
It's limited - a car is fairly essential.
We are happy to provide a daily breakfast of goodies such as fruits, cereals, yoghurts, bread/croissants, jams, tea, coffee and juices. With prior arrangement, dinner can be prepared by the Hosts at a price per head, exclusive of wines.
Guests are welcome to use the amenities of the House together with the rear deck eg the barbeque and the Jacuzzi which is accessible by a short flight of steps.
Interaction with Guests
We are keen to offer our Guests as much privacy as they desire but we are equally keen to interact with them on a social basis. There is nothing quite like an aperitif on our rear deck early evening, surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna. If at any time, there is anything we can to assist, please do ask.
We love the peace and the tranquility! Plus the proximity to beaches nearby - I think there are about 6 to choose from!
There is a local bus service which takes passengers down to Avalon as well as down to the main Barrenjoey Road where the L90 bus travels all the way into the city - a longish journey about an hour I believe.
Other Things to Note
I just feel a car is essential up on the Plateau given there are a number of beautiful beaches to explore as well as walking routes and then there is also the Kuringai National Park, Akuna Bay, West Head to name but a few of the glorious spots for all to uncover and to enjoy.
Check out time unless by prior arrangement is no later than 12 noon.
Susanna and Michael are lovely, lovely, sweet, fun and considerate people, I could not have felt more welcomed and comfortable in their beautiful home! I fell in love with India their sweet poochie and look forward to seeing them all again soon!
Thank you Susanna and Michael!
Dear Danielle, it was our immense pleasure having you to stay - India was bereft when you departed! We so enjoyed seeing the sheer beauty of our surrounds through your eyes and are delighted you share our love of this beautiful area which we do hope you choose to settle in soon!
I booked this property for a work colleague who was delighted with the accommodation. I can only comment on the booking process which was professional and efficient. Susanna was helpful at all times.
We had a fabulous experience with Susanna and Michael in their beautiful home in Bilgola! We were in the area for a wedding and decided to stay 3 nights to make the most of being up on the northern beaches.
We definitely recommend staying more than one night here - the room and bathroom are so comfortable, stylish and thoughtfully furnished. The breakfast spread was incredible - an excellent range of fruit, muesli, yoghurt, juice & bread.
Indy the dog was a real cutie, and of course, Susanna and Michael made us feel right at home.
We will certainly stay again next time we visit the area and we highly recommend anyone else considering the area to do the same!
This is exactly what an Airbnb experience should be! We loved it.
Well appointed and comfortable home. Lovely tranquil area and handy for upper north shore beaches. Very helpful, thoughtful and generous host.
Susanna and her stunningly beautiful home were utterly glorious. I can't thank Susanna enough for the generous warm welcome and effort and detail and thought that was put into her exquisite home. The room and private bathroom were simply five star. I wouldn't change a thing. Susanna, her husband and cute Nepalese terrier India were delightful. Highlight was breakfast on the beautiful balcony. Thank you for everything Susanna.
Susanna and Michael worked together to ensure that everything promised was delivered with generosity of spirit even though we only saw Michael briefly as Susanna was away.
She kept in touch throughout to anticipate arrival details location etc. we knew exactly what to expect
India their sweet little dog was a delight
Our room and bathroom were clean and thoughtfully arranged right to abundant toiletries and chocolates and iced water each evening
Breakfast supplies varied and delicious
Susanna and Michael understand the meaning of being generous hosts
We had a wonderful weekend at this absolutely gorgeous house! Susanna and Michael were warm and generous hosts and made us feel welcome and at home. We took full advantage of the jacuzzi in the backyard and loved the sunny balcony with unbeatable water views! A delicious breakfast which included fresh fruits and organic yoghurt was provided each morning. Michael was kind enough to go out of his way to drive us to the wedding we were attending, which was much appreciated! We would whole heartedly recommend staying in this beautiful house in peaceful, leafy Bilgola and would love to return soon!
Fully imported from the UK, we are a Civil Engineer (Yorkshire) and an HR consultant (Edinburgh!) who work in the City throughout the week & who both love calling the Northern Beaches home & escaping to the tranquility of the Peninsula - weekends are spent practising Pilates, Yoga, walking, catching up with friends. Respectful of other's needs for quiet & privacy but equally happy to engage in chat over dinner with recommendations for dining out, walking & cycling tracks & what to visit in the City & beyond.
The Engineer is also an exceptionally accomplished home cook & is therefore open to providing dinner, with prior arrangement & at an additional cost. As an example, he can provide an authentic Paella which serves up to 4 guests, at $30.00 per head - you provide your own wines/drinks.
One, small very friendly dog lives in this home - we shall ensure she does not get in your space.
We are comfortable with guests having the run of the house - using the Jacuzzi, the BBQ & the kitchen etc & would ask that considerate cleaning takes place after use. Other than that, we will leave you alone to enjoy the magical beauty of the Peninsula! One note to add is that parking on the Peninsula can be expensive & we can provide, subject to a small security deposit, a Pittwater parking permit for your car which would save you up to $20.00 a day in parking charges.
