  • We loved the house, the view was just stunning, the whole bay was at our feet! As we were very lucky with the weather, we spent a lot of time sitting outside enjoying the views and then the full moon at night! Such a beautiful place you don't want to go anywhere else!! We had everything we needed!

  • Hey
If you are thinking of staying in Marie-josé place . Just book it and stop thinking about it lol, Such a stunning place to stay.
The location is perfect as you have total privacy with unspoilt views but yet you are only about 10 mins from Dunfanaghy village. Its handy as.
Marie-josé was in contact a couple of times to make sure we wanted for nothing. Cant thank her enough.
We are definitely going to go back.

  • Marie Jose provides a really lovely place, perfect for a single person or couple to get away from it all. It's so quiet here you can't help but unwind. It's a beautiful, very well furnished little annex just off the main house, totally secure and private with a seriously stunning view. There are fantastic walks around the area, the village is a very short drive away ( we found a taxi guy to drive us every evening to and from dinner so we could enjoy some wine with our meal) where there are several restaurants in Dunfanaghy. Great spot to relax, catch up on reading and walking. For me it was a perfect place to meditate. Thanks so much Marie Jose, we highly recommend this absolute gem of a place to escape to the wilds of Donegal.
Complete and utter bliss, simply stunning!

  • The site of this appartment was ashtonishing, very romantic.
The host were not there that made it alitlle lonly.
we slept very well between the sheep and with the ocean in front of us.

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Marie-José's guest lodge- it's lovely and luxurious, the location is amazing and the view is breathtaking! It's everything I expected it to be from seeing the pictures and the description. And it's completely quiet out there... (apart from the occasional sheep, haha!)

Despite that the communication was difficult on the day of arrival (I couldn't reach her over the phone and there was no one on location- she had sent me info via airb&b when I had left home already and I don't own a smartphone so couldn't check that), I would go back to this lovely place.

  • Folks, this place is for real.
I can think of all kinds of superlatives about the location and view, it would not do the place justice. Two words: stunning and beautiful.

The cottage is elegantly furnished. The queen bed is lovely. The conservatory is profoundly peaceful.

We loved the town of Dunfanaghy nearby. Had excellent meals at both The Cove and Oysters (the latter had wonderful live music the night we were there).

    In a word: Amazing.

Although we did not get to meet Marie Jose, Lilya and others were lovely hosts, and Marie Jose was attentive through email.

Einfach alles perfekt! Wir werden wieder kommen, ganz bestimmt.

  • We absolutely loved staying at Marie-Jose's small hideaway, and would go back again in half a heartbeat. The place itself is private, secure and very comfortable - perfect for a base to enjoy exploring this corner of Ireland.
Marie-Jose was the perfect host: friendly, gracious and genuinely caring about our needs. There were small touches that she thought to include which made our stay just that much more enjoyable.
