Upon arrival we were welcomed by Marie-Jose, who explained everything. The location and accommodation is exactly as described. The locality is dramatic, stunning and tranquil. It is perfectly located for touring the local area while appreciating the peace and quiet.
This home was beyond beautiful, the views were unreal. We enjoyed our stay so much, even in the off season, there was lots to do. We would love to return!
Marie-José's cottage was wonderful! Exactly as described and immaculate. Despite being nervous about visiting Ireland in late November, we were perfectly warm in the guest cottage, enjoyed the beautiful views, and had a great time visiting the village of Dunfanaghy. Marie-José was very helpful and quick to respond to any inquiries. We would love to return!
Stunning location with fabulous views and a comfortable weekend retreat. Do note that there is no kitchen, but a kettle and toaster for a simple breakfast. A token teabag, coffee and milk would have been welcome, but we were happy to eat out. Can heartily recommend the Olde Glen Bar in Glen. One mishap was the electronic gates failing to open on our arrival – of course we understand these things happen - but it did take 45 minutes in the cold, dark and wet for it to be sorted.
The guests were very impatient , this is the first time that the key pad stopped working , and as soon as the guest called me I arrange for my cleaning lady to make her way from the evening she was attending with friends , after opening with the beeper the guests drive passed her without a thank you .
They continued this way of behaving during their stay . Still they were very tidy !
Superb location and our host was excellent. I particularly like sitting with a glass of wine whilst an Atlantic storm was raging outside. The location was perfect for exploring the Donegal Atlantic coast. I would have like to have been able to cook our dinner in the cottage, but I can recommend the local Chinese carry-out.
Beautiful location with stunning views, clean and modern facility. Host quick to respond to queries and friendly.
Very relaxing. Quite compact so lacks a kitchen but decent cafes/restaurants only a short drive away.
Marie Jose's home was just as beautiful as we expected. Set looking out right over the sea. An amazing view to enjoy your breakfast to! The house is finished to immaculate standards, and only a few minutes to stunning beaches, and the beautiful town of Dunfanaghy. Marie Jose was great for staying in touch, and although we didn't meet her we felt she was looking after us at all times. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway :-)
