Contemporary villa finely built from a stable (i.e. Stalla in Italian), with a beautiful outdoor area and private swimming pool. One of a kind view on the Umbrian countryside. Perfect for family and friends reunion. Very large living room and kitchen area with three French windows that lead out onto a covered pergola , from where the view is second to none.
La Stalla has been conceived with a simple linear beauty, which today offers an easy, comfortable living space.
Cultivated fields sweep gently down to a semi-wooded valley, with Todi resplendent in the distance. A long corridor leads from the living room to the three double bedrooms, and one twin bedroom; all of them have glass doors opening directly into the garden on the “panoramic” side of the house. On the corridor there is also a small single room and two of the three bathrooms. The rooms are furnished in a minimalist, but functional style. Adjacent to the house is the swimming pool, with the same splendid panorama as the covered patio.
The house is surrounded on three sides by 3 hectares of open fields which make up part of the property, and by a small wood slightly further away. The property is located nine kms from the charming medieval city of Todi, one of Umbria’s famous cultural jewels.
The villa is 400 smt, on one floor, composed by: open space dining/living room with large well equipped kitchen area, with fireplace and French windows opening onto the pergola with panoramic views; 1 single bedroom; 1 master bedroom with en suite large bathroom with jacuzzi and shower, garret with double size mattres; 1 double bedroom; 1 twin bedroom; 1 small bathroom with shower and washing machine; 1 double bedroom with garret with 1 double sofa bed;1 bathroom with bath and shower.
Shops, supermarkets, and restaurants are at 5 minutes drive.
Small size pets are permitted.
Notes: security deposit of 1000,- Euros to be left cash directly upon arrival. It will be returned upon departure
I had booked La Stalla for my husband and I for a week and quite literally I cried as we left. It was s(phone number hidden)perfect. I had invited friends to share our experience as a surprise for my husband and Cate and Cinzana were very accommodating and helpful with my surprise. It is perfectly located once you find it (!), very private but at the same time it looks out over the world. I can't wait to go back and we definitely will. Just under two hours from Rome and Sienna though we didn't leave the house all week. There are no incidentals such as salt, pepper, olive oil and there are no pool toys (other than the ones we left if they are still there) but there is a supermarket 10 minutes away where we became very good customers. I would absolutely and immediately recommend La Stalla, but not for the second week in July, because that's when we are going to back!!
This house is amazing, and much more than we expected, with the size and standard far exceeding our expectations. We were two families who spent 14 days here, and the house and swimming pool was exactly what we needed.
The redesign of the old stable, which has given it its large windows and doors, gives it a special atmosphere that you don't get from an ordinary house. The mornings with the freshly brewed espresso under the pergola, watching the amazing view of Todi, is to die for.
With young kids, maybe Todi wasn't the most exciting place to be, but you have Orvieto close by, which is a bit more happening, but all in all, it was an incredible stay at a great house.
We will definitely be back!!!
