My house is built in a warm, friendly wooden surf shack style. Sitting backed into the jungle a mear 400m up the side of a hill on a secluded private road, overlooking playa St Teresa from the famous surf break, Suck Rock to the North, down to La Lora in the South. It's a few minutes walk uphill from the main road but the view and the privacy is worth every single step. The beach, surf rentals and a grocery store are all in 5 - 10 minutes walking distance.
The Studio is located in the basement of the house and has an independent entrance. It features views of the surrounding jungle on the side, a little ocean view to the front and comes with a fully equipped kitchen, living area with a couch and a bathroom. Everything is open space including the shower.
There is a small outside sitting area in the front. You will also have access to the upper deck: The massive balcony and deck brings you close to living with nature. Relax in the hammocks and swinging chairs or enjoy a nice BBQ in the evening. The decision whether and where to go surfing is usually made while enjoing a coffee or fresh juice on the balcony at breakfast.
During your stay I will normally live upstairs with my girlfriend and will be happy to help you with recommendations.
Come and enjoy a little slice of heaven and some of the most amazing sunsets from the balcony.
Santa Teresa is a place untouched by typical mainstream tourism. Youbi's place allows you to indulge yourself in the surfing culture. You will stay in a open space apartment that is situated on top of a mountain, overlooking the Santa Teresa beach. The views are super nice. We traveled by car and it couldn't make it up the mountain, so Youbi picked us up in an ATV. We left the car down by the main road without any issues. Youbi and his girlfriend were very friendly, informative, and super nice. They gave great tips on where to eat, scheduled a surfing lesson for us, and shared the knowledge of the town. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to experience Santa Teresa the way it's meant to be.
Unique and great accommodation. Getting to Youbi's place requires a short hike (tough with flip flops, but fine with sturdier sandals or shoes), but once you get there, it is worth it to be away from the dust and surrounded by greenery and wildlife. The views from the deck of the jungle, ocean, and sunsets are the best. The access to the beaches at Santa Teresa is just a short walk. Youbi and his gf are generous and wonderful hosts that have valuable suggestions of the local area and fun stories. Recommended.
