My house is built in a warm, friendly wooden surf shack style. Sitting backed into the jungle a mear 400m up the side of a hill on a secluded private road, overlooking playa St Teresa from the famous surf break, Suck Rock to the North, down to La Lora in the South. It's a few minutes walk uphill from the main road but the atmosphere and the privacy is worth every single step. The beach, surf rentals and a grocery store are all in 5 - 10 minutes walking distance. If you are planning to come by car be sure to have a 4x4 for this area.
The Studio is located on the ground level of the house and has an independent entrance. It features views of the surrounding jungle on the side, an ocean view to the front and has a lovely new built terrace with a couch on the side and a small outside sitting area in the front. The decision whether and where to go surfing or to go to one of the outstanding yoga classes in town is usually made while enjoing a coffee or fresh juice on the terrace at breakfast.
It comes with a fully equipped kitchen, living area with a couch, a comfy double bed and a bathroom. The studio is one big room - though the bed is in the back of the studio and a little separated from the kitchen and sitting area.
During your stay I will normally live upstairs with my girlfriend and will be happy to help you with recommendations.
If u re thinking to travel to Costa Rica, you cant miss Youbi's place in Santa Teresa. Its much better than expected and he is still improving his place, so you will enjoy more than we did. Thank you Youbi for all. Our travel wouldnt be the same without you. Hope see you soon.
Santa Teresa is a place untouched by typical mainstream tourism. Youbi's place allows you to indulge yourself in the surfing culture. You will stay in a open space apartment that is situated on top of a mountain, overlooking the Santa Teresa beach. The views are super nice. We traveled by car and it couldn't make it up the mountain, so Youbi picked us up in an ATV. We left the car down by the main road without any issues. Youbi and his girlfriend were very friendly, informative, and super nice. They gave great tips on where to eat, scheduled a surfing lesson for us, and shared the knowledge of the town. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to experience Santa Teresa the way it's meant to be.
Unique and great accommodation. Getting to Youbi's place requires a short hike (tough with flip flops, but fine with sturdier sandals or shoes), but once you get there, it is worth it to be away from the dust and surrounded by greenery and wildlife. The views from the deck of the jungle, ocean, and sunsets are the best. The access to the beaches at Santa Teresa is just a short walk. Youbi and his gf are generous and wonderful hosts that have valuable suggestions of the local area and fun stories. Recommended.
